Posted on 01/27/2014 5:39:18 PM PST by lowbridge
A terrified mother claims she watched in horror as her demon-possessed 9-year-old son walked backwards up a wall and ceiling. Her claims would be easy to dismiss if a child services case worker and a nurse werent reportedly there to witness it all.
Latoya Ammons claims all three of her children showed signs of being possessed, including evil smiles and strangely deep voices, the Indianapolis Star reports. The mother says she also witnessed her 12-year-old daughter levitating in their Gary, Ind., home.
Strangely enough, the scary-sounding incident is outlined in official documents. Further, Gary police Capt. Charles Austin told the Star that he is a believer after making several visits to the home and interviewing witnesses. He first thought the family was making stories up as part of a get-rich-quick scheme.
Ammons home was exorcized by a catholic priest in a number of ceremonies that were reportedly authorized by the Diocese of Gary. The story apparently became so believable that officers with the police department said they were too scared to stay at the house and some city officials wouldnt even step foot on the property.

Why does Satan need to possess kids like this when we have the television he gave us?
come on... in this day and age no one whipped out their cell phone to grab it on video?
of course, Gary being one of the murder capitals of the country, i can understand why possessions would start there.
There’s the problem right there. Living in Gary IN.
Yes and in Washington DC.
I guess Catholics Priests are the only ones that can remove the devil. No wonder why the left hates Catholics.
Possession? There’s been an actual demon in the white house for 5 years.
Seriously, I believe this stuff. I’ve seen it on a small scale but was enough to scare the crap out of me.
I wonder whatever happened to the beautiful gary, indiana thats depicted in the music man.
Well, at least she's gone to the media with it, instead of just chopping off their heads or drowning them like some others have done.
Why have the HUNDREDS in D.C. gone unreported?
Campbell and Ammons also told The Star they reached out to two clairvoyants, who said the family's home was besieged by more than 200 demons. Their explanation made sense to Campbell and Ammons, they say, because it meshed with their Christian faith.
I'm sure the clairvoyants gave really good advice.
Cameras are everywhere, why is it none of these so-called levitations or whatever has ever been recorded?
Tell you what, anyone starts acting possessed around here I’ll be making the biggest bucks Youtube has ever paid out.
Seems like The Blaze could do better than posting silly spook stories to generate link clicks. I’ve seen videos of the “possessed” before, and invariably they are either pathetic frauds looking for attention or are in dire need of psychiatric care.(And often both.) Sometimes they’re on an intoxicant of some variety. Never have seen one of them levitate or spin their heads around, etc., other than in Hollywood productions.

|Woo hoo!! And the first 29% is in!! Thank you all very much!!|
I’ve read that most of these demons come from other planets.
Everytime he gets on camera, I hope for a fly to appear. I’m not saying he is the devil, but I think his past history with flies is both bizarre and hysterical.
That’s the fictitious River City, Iowa. They only sing about Gary.
do they have better drugs in Indiana these days?
I love these stories. I’ll have to remember to follow up on it. Sounds like the beginning of a book deal at the least, or some really funky stuff going down.
Let me guess....the uh witnesses might have been ingesting large amounts of illegal substances.
But that hasn't kept you from looking, apparently.
I’m betting intoxicants.
Which planets? And, if they are spirits bent on the spiritual destruction of humans, why would they waste time on, say, Mars?
Damn, turned into Progressives at such a tender age.
It took the last Wells Fargo wagon outta town.
I've never seen this. But I think it's possible. The Bible records a couple of cases of demonic possession.
The realms we are dealing with here have mastered technological mimicry. It is no surprise the crucifixion of Christ Jesus occurred in an age when video cameras and the New York Times were not yet on the world stage. I know a man who experienced the occult personally, and when his presentations are recorded, for some reason the recordings never turn out. On one occasion the playback contained radio transmissions from the local school bus drivers.
Lord of the flies, Beelzebub, Satan's right hand
man uh, person er, entity...
those dots on his face, are they fly poop?
We can just imagine their desperation to explain this away.
That is hardly the case, as most Catholics are on the left, in contrast to evangelicals , and the most subtle effective demonic activity is in religion, especially Rome.
And Jews cast out demons, and in this case after several exorcisms, it was apparently after moving that they found relief. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/01/27/family-possessed-seeks-exorcism/4939953/

And a 2004 article where he was refusing to submit to a background check requested either by the church or by the bishop. Wasn't clear on who was requesting it.
So the priest appears to be a legitimate priest, though his fight against a background check does raise questions.
the spiritual war - oldest war around
I went to Gary once and decided there were two places in the world I did not want to live...both of them Gary.
Saw/heard something like this about 35 years ago. Never want to see it again.
I’m not buying it.
It isn't true. I have seen it twice. Baptist context. Worked on first try. No ritual whatsoever. Just a straightforward three-way conversation where the believer pulls rank on the nasty critter and Jesus does all the heavy lifting. No recidivism either. Seriously. This is available to all believers. Bring at least a mustard seed's worth of faith.
Of course it hasn’t. You can’t form a reasoned opinion with your head in the sand, and I generally check on stories that challenge my beliefs. I have yet to see evidence of a “possession” that cannot be explained without resort to the supernatural, but the Blaze story thread piqued my interest. I guess I gave them more credit than I should have.
They tried to use both audio and video, as well as photography - all of it malfunctioned.
