The American media is having a field day today mocking the Russians for some supposedly inadequate hotel accommodations....the proof for this is whining on Twitter.
My suspicion is that the media has decided to AMPLIFY the complaints...which may be legitimate....merely to cast a pall on Putin's games.
Consider: The entire Western media, along with Team Obama hates the unanimous decision of the Russian parliament to keep sodomite propaganda away from children. Yet they have to cover the story in a reasonable manner without risking getting the boot.
I believe it is VERY FEASIBLE to that efforts are being made to create bad images from Russia....even though that is contrary to the full picture.
Surveillance video of a shower? Come again? Alles klar, her commissar?

Probably a little, but its important to keep two things in mind.
1) they have been preoccupied with a terrorist threat. The greatest thing Beijing had to worry about was smog.
2) Russian bureaucracy is nowhere near as efficient as China’s

I suspect Russia does far better with security than they do with hospitality.

What Americans are experiencing in regards to their health care are major life events.
Understand the difference?

The orange water looks like some tap water I had years ago. It looked OK coming out of the faucet but if you let it sit at room temperature for a while it turned a cloudy orange like that.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think Sochi is a dump . . . but in order to see how ridiculous an argument is, look at its obverse. I don’t think that, if Russia was the most pro-homo nation on the face of the planet, yellow water coming out of taps would be downplayed or ignored.
Don't forget that Putin also embarrassed obama over Syria.
