From most preppers I know he’ll get a unhealth diet heavy in lead.
M4when hungry
Why the ridicule?
I know you're an accomplished cook, but it would be just as easy to stop in at your local produce department.
What kind of beans are good dried?
In his desire to brag about his preparedness strategy, which depends on thievery, he’s lost everything.
1. No one who knows you will now trust you, knowing that you’re organizing a criminal band before anything serious even happens.
2. You’ve violated all rules of OPSEC being on TV to talk about preps. Who now would trust you with their preparedness details, assuming you weren’t planning to steal it from them?
3. Everyone that you might be nearby to target probably saw you on the show and has either planned for how to counter-attack or will pre-emptively show up at your house and blow you away, since you’re already planning on raiding them.
Tyler will find a .45 slug between the eyes when he tries it here.
BTW, Scum like this guy and the welfare / food stamp freeloaders will find it a small step from having the Government steal for them to stealing it for themselves.
A little humor is not ridicule.
Mmmm! Mmmm! Mmmm!
Has everyone discovered the “oxygen absorber” trick of buying “Hot Hands” when they go on sale either right before hunting season or right after?
Same stuff - iron filings. “Hot Hands” don’t have a CC rating on them, though.
Just make sure you have enough water for all the beans, rice, pasta, dehydrated vegetables and instant soup.
I believe he’s already gotten himself re-incarcerated.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
BTW, Quick Oats are cheap and can be prepared without heating, by putting the oats in a canning jar, add water, even room temp water, and a pinch of salt, put the top on, and in a couple of hours you have oatmeal to add peanut butter to and a handful of raisins. Use twice amount of water to oats. I’ve tested it. It works like a charm. If you have a means to heat water, the process is even quicker using boiling water without putting the oats in the water heating container.
Good advice. However there have been some changes.
LDS Church Clarifies Concerns About Rumored Cannery Shutdowns
"In all but 12 of the church's 101 home storage centers in the U.S. and Canada, patrons will no longer self-can products, but they may purchase these same items pre-canned or prepackaged at no additional cost.
The church currently operates 101 home storage centers in the United States and Canada where food storage items such as beans, dry milk, wheat, rice and sugar may be purchased. These changes have been considered for some time as the church has looked at the best way to provide home storage goods to church members efficiently.
There are good reasons for moving away from self-canning, the church said in its statement. It's more efficient and cost effective to produce and ship prepackaged goods in bulk rather than ship the same goods and empty cans to a location for people to can on their own. This also means less warehouse space and fewer facilities to maintain, which will save money.
Safety is a factor, according to the church. Pre-canned and prepackaged operations guarantee higher quality and safer preparation of food.
Twelve centers will continue to offer self-canning. They are:
The remaining 89 centers will provide pre-canned goods. A list of all home storage centers is available at providentliving.org/self-reliance. .
BTW, you can heat the water using a magnifying glass and the sun.
“Caution: Bacon and chocolate will shrink your favorite clothes!”
Not if you spend as much time as I do walking the perimeter! ;)
