In the wake of Tuesday’s Congressional Budget Office report showing that Obamacare will lead to a reduction in employee working hours, there is also bad news on the wages front.

Noting that Obamacare provides subsidies for coverage to people earning up to 400 percent of the federal poverty line, and that the subsidies decrease as income increases, the CBO said there is a strong incentive to reduce wages.

“People whose income exceeds 400 percent of the FPL are ineligible for premium subsidies, and for some people those subsidies will drop abruptly to zero when income crosses that threshold,” the report stated. …

The Obamacare train wreck never stops.

As someone posted this AM, per Tammy Bruce, ObamaCare has more similarity to metasticized cancer. "When a locomotive crashes, it stops. Obamacare, on the other hand, just keeps on going like a cancer that’s ignored, perpetuating itself and destroying everything in its path."

It’s already been happening. People are asking to work less hours as they are afraid they will lose Food Stamps and other benefits... Housing where rent is a % of income, ..... the list goes on and on.

When health care insurance for two costs more than 600 a month, it is like truffles: A luxury we can’t afford.

Isn’t it the beast that is feeding THEM their free stuff? We’re the ones feeding the beast.

I believe cuban leaf means they are no longer contributing.

Sort of like 'quit pushing the cart and jump in for the ride'.

What causes the cart to stop? Not enough people pushing or too much weight in the cart? I don't think it matters, the cart is stopped.

You got a worm in your pocket? The point of going galt is giving up your comfort to starve the beast. We are literally at war with the looters. The only way to defeat them is to stop producing WITHIN THEIR SYSTEM. Give them nothing to give. It is a VERY difficult choice, however. In my case, I moved to a rural area from Seattle and reduced by income by over $50,000 a year. On purpose. But I live BETTER than I did.

I may have misinterpreted, but I thought there was an implication that it was the “takers” who were going Galt by working fewer hours and thereby not feeding the beast (that now feeds them). Sorry if I misunderstood.

Well, That’s actually part of it. You starve the beast not only by denying it food, but by taking what food it has.
