Jimi Hendrix - The Wind Cries Mary - with Edward Hopper art
YouTube ^ | March 10, 2010 | Hendix, Hopper, BarryLyndon63

VIDEO: Jimi Hendrix sings "The Wind Cries Mary" in a montage with Edward Hopper paintings.

Taking a great song with poetic lyrics by Hendrix and combining it with great art by Hopper seems right, and I haven't found anything like it before.

The third Hopper painting shown is called "Nighthawks" and has been featured in past Freepathon threads. It looks like the paintings in the video have been processed with a photo effect that, while not unpleasant, is not the same as the original paintings.

So, you’ve eliminated Mozart from discussion with a “sniff.” Want to do the same with Bach? He was a revolutionary, and thought incredibly destructive.

Like I said, at least Bach didn’t simulate intercourse with his instruments and destroy them afterward. Get back to your footnotes, LS.

This is the stuff of history, and I’m not dismissed with a “get back to your footnotes.” So you have essentially admitted that your logic his horribly flawed, because the very same attitudes were directed at the “classics” and those we consider “good” music-—Mozart and Bach.

And like I said, buzz off. You’re out of logic, out of ammunition, and stuck with posting pics of drug addicts in some lame attempt to tie musical change to addiction.

tie musical change to addiction

I've done no such thing. I expected more from someone like you--but perhaps its your environment.

I have recast your logic in a sort of algebraic way . .

Whether we like a “song” [or musician's talent] or not is often irrelevant to whether or not it exerts a negative influence on the culture.

I especially like the "or not" part. Nice polish. The "often" is overkill, but might still prove useful in a pinch.

It comes from a scene in the movie, Rainbow Bridge.
