Comment at the source:

That politically correct Alice in wonder land that is modern day Sweden is also rapidly tumbling down the OECD educational rankings. This is happening in a country that once had one of the highest per capita in the world, one of the best educated workforce in the world, one of the lowest crime rates, and a kaleidoscope of internationally recognized brands.

Today it is by far the most extreme of countries when it comes to mass immigration and multiculturalism. In terms of ideological indoctrination, suppression of dissent and media censorship Sweden is one of the most totalitarian countries in the entire world. Its establishment is obsessed with the irrational ideal of equality and are frantically tearing their nations social fabric to pieces so that it can be reborn the egalitarian utopia which eluded both the Bolsheviks in Russia and the Kamera rouge in Cambodia. Here a strange parallel that can be drawn with the Mayan kingdom were its fanatical leaders filled their temple forecourts with the severed heads of thousands, all sacrificed in the name of an irrational ideology.

It will be interesting to see were Sweden is at in another 10 years time. Will it even be recognizable?

I wish I could remember which FReeper it was who said his brother or BIL was moving to Sweden, supposedly because something was better there (must like classic Swedish blondes).

“While there is a falling rate of suicides, there is a huge rise in suicide attempts," Sadly, that sentence struck me. They want to kill themselves but they are too incompetent now to do so.

Who has given all of the kids of Sweden everything they can ask for? Not Jesus. It's Apple and Google and ...

Scientific atheism is decimating the religious beliefs of the youth of the western world.

Meanwhile the anti-intellectual religion of Islam remains strong. Yes they use the technology, but in a sneering way: "These are the technological toys we will use to destroy the west."

So we are breeding an army of emotionless consuming drones. The Islamists will try to take their toys away. They will be upset. That will mean war.

If western youth is truly monstrous they may triumph over the Muslims. If not, then the Muslims will triumph.

Who's to blame? Who are the real monsters? What average mom or dad can argue against the wonders of science? What person in the history of mankind has successfully convinced everyone not to engage in illicit sex, drug use, etc? Even some of those we consider the "greats" of conservatism and/or Christianity engaged in illicit sex, drug use, etc.

I really think it's possible that we are at the beginning of a very long period (hundreds of years perhaps) of declining faith. Certainly among Christians, maybe as well among Hindus, Jews, and even Muslims if they get too caught up in our consumer culture as well.

Yes there will be small thriving communities of the faithful (e.g the Amish), but Christianity will be banished from the general discussion and eliminated as a source for how nations and states are governed.
