Michael Dunn, 47, says he was acting in self-defense when he shot at an SUV 10 times while parked next to four teens at a Jacksonville, Fla., gas station in November 2012.

The shots killed Jordan Davis, 17, of Marietta, Ga. Dunn is charged with first-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and one count of firing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.

Have you ever pulled up to a gas station and the car next to you has the radio booming away?

And you’re saying they have a right to crank up the music as loud as they want?

Fleeing the scene was a super stupid move, too. It just about amounted to an admission of guilt.

When you call the cops, you tell them anything you want that will get them to your motel room. Hearing gun shots is usually a pretty good one, because it can’t be proven that you didn’t hear them. The vast majority of the time, just by the cops showing up, such malcontents usually move on.

if you think urban yuts weren’t feeling immunity in playing the “knockout game”, just wait....this case will further encourage them to “step it up”.

there will be a sense of immunity going forward. I can crank my kanye up as loud as I want and nobody can do nothing to me!

the inner cities are literally becoming warzones.

True regarding the cops scaring off the malcontents.

But in today’s world, if you disrespect someone you’re inviting a beat down.

Again, we’re talking odds of four against one. Not good in any situation.

People do lots of things they shouldn’t, but do anyway. It’s best to leave it alone unless it is life or death. Typical encounters like these are usually no more than a couple of minutes out of your day. Why ruin your whole day, and possibly your life, over these unfortunate couple of minutes?

That’s why it’s best to not try and teach manners to ill-mannered people in the first place.

So you advocate shooting people for loud music??? Seriously????

Hope he spends the rest of his life in prison (said the Prosecutor).

Unbelievable. What’s next ... shooting people for bad clothing??

Yes. And also on the road at stop lights. And it is often music I don’t really like. Sometimes it’s music I do like.

And yes, within limits, I think people have a right to turn up their music as much as they want. There are probably noise ordinances, and you can always call the cops to have them check if someone is violating the noise ordinance for the time and place. I doubt there are too many people who know what the actual legal decibel level is, or could tell if someone was violating that limit.

And who cares, really? You are at the pump for 5 minutes, and unless the music is so loud your ears are bleeding, it is just one of those things. The world does not exist to make me happy. Sometimes other people get to be happy.

I agree with that. You have to ask yourself if it’s really worth the potential unknown consequences.

In this case, and I haven’t followed it all that close, then it’s not worth it.

I think anybody can call the cops if they want. There are laws about too-loud music. But in a public parking lot, it’s not like you have to sit there — you park, you go shop, you leave. if it was so loud you couldn’t think in the store, the store clerks would probably call the cops.

I think it’s more than that. I think there’s an attitude of playing the music that loud. I think there are some that are doing just to see if anyone will say anything. Again, this goes back to the “respect” issue in many of today’s urban yuts.

IHO, the jury did the right thing....state can and will retry on deadlocked count(as they should, but not 1st degree murder 2nd degree yes).
This Dunn guy is going away for a long time, as he should....judge better give Dunn the max allowed per guilty charge....

Corey is grinning like the cat that swallowed the canary.

She is a very frustrating person to watch. She knows she’s on TV and is milking it.
