As the protests in Ukraine turned violent on Tuesday, journalists and researchers following the events reported various incidents that appeared designed to isolate the demonstrators. TV providers apparently blocked Ukraine's opposition friendly Channel 5, one of the most popular news sources in the country, for much of the day. The Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt took to Twitter to condemn the regime for the shut down. The regime's "repression and violence" is unacceptable, he wrote.
Ukrainian journalist Maxim Eristravi tweeted that blocking Channel 5 signaled that, "Authorities are insanely hysterical." Roland Oliphant, Moscow correspondent for The Telegraph, tweeted that it is, "The worst sign people have been waiting for, for months."

People in the western part of the country got control of the police station and at least one army base; now giving out weapons
The ‘kill switch’ is alive and well. Doesn’t King Barry have that authority, too?
American sprintime is coming.
Shouldn't the civilized world be banding together to stop these violent protests by any means necessary? The scenerio is quite clear by now. Natives who are unhappy with their government start peaceful protests. Instigators push the envelope, and they keep escalating until there are grievances against their treatment. The government pushes back after waiting too long, and it gets way out of hand. The protests get taken over by radical elements who remove the original protestors and don't care if there is total destruction.
I'm beginning to think it could happen here, and just about anywhere else.....and it frightens me in ways I haven't been frigthened before.
I have been reading online that there is going to be a major gathering coming May 16, 2014 in DC, called “American Springtime”. A retired army general is organizing it I believe, calling for up to 10 million freedom loving Americans to come to DC.
Wasn’t the protestors started the violence this go-around. Berkut made a push to clear the encampment before the Parliament was due to seat.
So it’s the protester’s fault. Their leader is robbing the country blind trying to take them back into USSR, kidnaps and kills critics of the regime, passes dictatorial laws, but the protesters should just take it, preferably with a smile on their face.
Turning violent is the only sensical thing here; keeping a smile on the face, now that’s radical.
