This Is How Ukrainian Protesters Attack An Armored Personnel Carrier
Zerohedge ^ | 2/18/14 | Tyler Durden

Watch as sparks fly between a Ukrainian military APC, possibly the same one we revealed earlier, as it gets into some blazingly close encounters with the Kiev protesters. It is unclear who won however it is quite clear that at this point the proxy war in Ukraine between Russia/Gazprom and the European Union/US State Dept/Saudi/Qatar can be upgraded to "hot."

Anybody know if oil based paint filled balloons have ever been used like M.C.’s?

As I remember there were many Boston FReepers who love big armored trucks and APCs. They made them feel so safe during the shealter in place order after the marathon bombing.

Last I heard, flamethrowers are legal and unregulated.Anyone with good shop skills should be able to build one in a day or two.

Hmmmmm. One tank of inert gas (nitrogen?) for pressure, one tank of flammable liquid (No. 2 heating oil?), a braided steel line connecting the fire tank to a long tube with an igniter (piezo "sparker" off a gas stove?), and a trigger that controls a valve to the tank.

Crude ... but it might work.

Rioters. They ceased to be protestors the minute they showed up prepared to do battle.

It ceases to be police enforcement once military hardware shows up.

Send this video to all PDs that have these vehicles. This is their future if they try to confiscate legally owned firearms from American citizens. The difference is here they will be shot trying to get out!

Let me get this straight: We have FReepers (who normally speak with venomous hatred for Soros) rooting for the Soros-backed gangs in the streets against the lawfully established authorities — who in recent weeks have been bending over backward to compromise with the (uncompromising) radical, leftist, Soros-backed, US-backed street rioters. Sort of like we had on the streets in NYC a winter or two ago (Occupy Movement, anyone)?

Sorry: Count me out in rooting for these scum. Methinks many FReepers in here are not seeing things for what they are. Not all rebellions are 1776. Some are 1917.

Seems to me what is wanted here is for the Ukrain to return to the Russian fold. Hard to believe that some FReepers would be root for that.

Few have ever heard of Soros in Ukraine.
Leave your parochial obsessions at home.

Shame on so-called “Conservatives” who would support Russian expansionism because they despise some nobody named Soros.

Russia could choke off the Western Ukraine in a matter of weeks. The EU isn’t giving them any money because other EU states like Spain will come begging. Without Russia buying debt and importing crappy Ukrainian goods they will go bankrupt.

Also, don’t ignore the Nazi sympathizers that are prominent in the opposition leadership.

These protestors are going to get a cold dose of reality about their popular support and their ability to hold power. They don’t have majority support and they have no economic sway.

So what we have here is the Nazis and the Communist? What a choice.

Because they have not heard of him does not mean he is not working behind the scenes. How man Brits knew who he was when he caused their economy harm?

Parochial obsessions? Soros has been involved in financial scandals around the globe. Please review the meaning of “parochial.”

Soros is a nobody? His name appears on seemingly every other thread on FR.

I do not support Russian expansionism. Nor do I support EU expansionism or Saudi jihad money that flows from oil. Do you think Brussels is a benign capital? Do you see how it fears Switzerland’s recent reassertion of its prerogative to control its own borders? What conservative supports this tyranny, one might ask.

The fight in Kiev is akin to that between Sunnis and Shiites: Neither side is admirable. All things being equal, why not support the legally established authority (albeit not blindly, but with reservations).

I agree that coming under the Russian heel is ill-advised. That part of the protest I get.

There was a middle way, when the existing Government offered the resistance the post of Prime Minister, but they refused. How is that unreasonable? Has Obama or Harry Reid offered the Tea Party anything of the sort?

So, may I ask: Are you a fan of the EU? The EU that prosecutes home schoolers? The EU that imports Muslims by the boatload, flooding Europe with unassimalable hordes? The EU that condemns Israel for existing? I for one do not support the EU.
