Like many people, Ive been dismayed at ostensible conservatives like Ann Coulter and Thomas Sowell coming out against Ted Cruz. But in reading their arguments, Ive noticed some very serious discrepencies between theory and reality. Two main ones, in fact.
The first is the idea of splitting the party. The way this goes is that the Republican Party has a finite number of members, and Ted Cruz is threatening to draw away enough of them to split the party, and enable the Rats to win.
But this argument is based on the concept of a limited number of voters. The truth is that there are far more people who dont vote, than who do. Most people are so utterly disgusted, they refuse to play the voting game anymore. And its precisely because of the hypocrisy of the RINOs. Year after year these people get (re)elected to office and sit on their hands when they should be fighting the Rats. It doesnt take a genius to see this. In fact, Cruz himself is railing against it. Its a fact.
So what would happen if Cruz, and Tea Party Republicans, did go forward? These non-voters would get off of their hands, thats what. And the RINOs know this, and it scares them, because theres more than enough non-voting conservatives to get rid of every single RINO, if they had real conservatives to vote for.
So the RINOs, and their apologists, are spreading openly hypocritical arguments about losing elections. Because the truth is that what would happen if people had real conservatives to vote for is that the Republicans would start winning all over the place - not only voting out the RINOs, but also defeating the Rats once they got into office.
And that brings me to the second issue - the purpose of RINOs. RINOs exist to make sure Rats win. Period. They do this by blocking the opposition. By getting themselves into the places where the fight against the Rats is empowered - and then doing nothing. Thats why the Rats are running wild. They do NOT have the majority of the country behind them. They are rife with savage infighting. They are weak, unorganized, and constantly screwing up everything they touch and working against their own goals. So how do they keep winning? RINOs. RINOs make sure that no matter what the Rats do, they have no real opposition.
This is extremely important to remember - that the do-nothing RINOs ARE doing something important. They are enabling the Rats to WIN. Thats why when people say, well, wouldnt Romney have been better than Obama, shouldnt you have gotten behind Romney to block Obama their entire argument is absurd. Romney is a RINO. RINOs exist to LOSE to Rats. They sabotage their own campaigns, they load themselves up with repulsive Rat-lite agendas, they fawn to Rats, all to drive away conservative voters, and thereby LOSE. And when they make mistakes - when they get some real conservatives on their side, like McCain did with Palin, and all of a sudden his numbers started shooting up through the roof and it looked like he might actually win - well, HE QUIT. Anyone remember that? And why? Because hes a RINO, and a RINOs job is to LOSE.
So there NEVER would have been a Romney presidency, because Romney ran to lose. And as McCain showed, RINOs will do anything it takes, even just plain quitting the race, to make sure the Rats win.
Thats because RINOs ARE RATS.
So there is no middle ground. The Tea Party generally, and Cruz specifically, IS the opposition to the RINORATS. There isnt anyone else. And if we all get along, then RINOs will continue to lose to Rats in big elections, and refuse to fight Rats in Congress and elsewhere. Thats how its done - thats their job. Thats what they do.
So be clear. Dump the confusion. Theres no threat of losing by going with Cruz or genuine conservatives or Tea Party candidates - because there is NO possibility of winning if we stick with RINOs, because the RINOs job is to LOSE to Rats.
And they do that very, very well.
In fact, they are experts at it.
Well said! I’ve been preaching a similar rant and I get push-back even from other Tea Partiers.
I have voted for my last RINO. I’m done. If that puts Hillary in office, then so be it.
The main difference between Romney and McCain is that Romney actually wanted to win.
Indeed, the RINOS have an agenda. Cheap jobs for their employer friends, and easy jobs for themselves.
It's terrible!!
SUBSTANCE is great!!
Presentation is AWFUL
Since more Republicans voted AGAINST Romney in the last primary fight than FOR him, I think its the RINOs who are splitting the party.
BRAVO!
We don’t call it the Reagan Landslide for nothin.
2012 was the tipping point where the GOPe stratergery to “Wait ‘till next time!” has been run out.

Maybe the 6 million republicans who sat home in 2012 will turn out to vote for Ted.
Yeah, Sarah Palin has the same problem; I love what she says but not how she says it. Does Ted Cruz have that problem?
Here’s where it’s going: some libbie has already found a resemblance between Sen. Cruz and Sen. Joe McCarthy! Says the turned down outer corners of the eyes and sometimes faraway expression are eerily similar between the two.
Now since I admire Joe McCarthy that’s a plus, but for the libbies he is the Darth Vader of anticommunism & so-called `red-baiting’. Shows their desperation IMO.
President Cruz takes the oath of office in 2017!
The time for making nice is long past, Skippy.
I like it.

Mitt Romney won the Republican nomination in 2012 because moderate Republican voters and corporate contributors STUCK TOGETHER behind him, while Conservative voters were splitting their primary votes among a number of Conservative candidates, from Newt Gingrich to Rick Santorum.
Ted Cruz is charismatic and principled enough to unite Conservatives in 2016. In fact, the more the RINOs, the Karl Rovian fat-cat contributors, and the let’s-all-get-together accommodationists like Ann Coulter attack Ted Cruz, the more likely that principled Conservatives will unite behind him and assure that he wins the nomination 2016.
Let the RINO voters split THEIR votes in 2016 — between Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, whoever, the more the merrier.
Well, that, and the GOP-E cheated, changing rules after the fact, seating the full Florida delegation, who should have been penalized half because of their early primary, etc.....
Add that to the open primaries that the GOP loves, and the liberal states having primaries first... Sure Mitt won the nomination.

Lead, follow, and get the hell out of the way. Your milquetoast boyz never get th job done. NEVER!
Let’s be careful we are not self-delusional. Demographics have changed since Reagan was elected. I’m sure there are more conservatives out there that didn’t vote for Romney that might have the energy to get off their duff and vote for Cruz. However, it is also true that more and more of the U. S. population are on the government dole and see Cruz as their enemy. Our numbers are shrinking. Look at the recent article on religion in America just posted a day or two ago on this site. There is a huge drop in the number of people that attend church, believe in moral absolutes and adhere to conservative principles. That’s important! What people believe morally makes a difference in everything they do - voting included. I love Cruz, have donated $ to him and will vote for him in a heart beat. I’m just concerned that If we do not make a difference in this midterm election that we might not have a chance in 2016. We are in a war and it’s getting hot. The good thing is that as it heats up we are seeing who can be trusted and who cannot. I would never have believed that Thomas Sowell would have come out against Cruz just a few months ago.
LOL, nice try. Except that people on the dole are not those who are refusing to vote for RINOs. And as for that “huge drop in the number of people that attend church, believe in moral absolutes and adhere to conservative principles,” let me SEE the article. Because people who “attend church” are a FAR greater number than “people who believe in moral absolutes” and both are NOT the same as people who “adhere to conservative principles” (which include the Constitution and fiscal sanity). Quite frankly, it sounds like such an article is a lump-them-all-together and encourage-them-to-give-up Rat propaganda piece.
But even if what you say is true, what is the safest choice? There will be NO RINO president. RINO candidates run to LOSE. The idea that there will be a compromise candidate that could win, is a lie. So why should conservatives waste their votes on a sure loss? Whether president or Congressperson, the valuable conservative vote can only count if it goes towards a Tea Party candidate. Any other use of it is a vote guaranteed to lose the race. Because that’s what RINOs DO.
And yes, we do live in a VERY different time than Reagan. We live in a time SO bad that even liberals are screaming that they’ve been betrayed by the Democrats. We live in a time where the entire country has been hyper-politicized and made well aware of the great divide betwen freedom and socialism. We live in a time when American are being virtually raped at airports, while their president goes on multiple hundred-million-dollar vacations. We live in a time when healthcare has been seized by the government and virtually removed from the reach of anyone but the rich, and told the Peole their only option is to die, because they literally cannot even sign up for, let alone afford, government healthcare.
I’d say, quite frankly, that there has never, ever been a time in American history when MORE - not less -people aren’t thinking in conservative ways, longing for freedom, and in agreement with Tea Party principles.
But like I said, nice try. After all, you give money to Cruz. That’s why you’re so willing to spread FUD to encourage people away from actually voting for him, right?
LOL!
