Why conservatives are in trouble
World Net Daily ^ | 2/21/2014 | Patrice Lewis

In last weekend’s column about the built-in absurdity endemic in Obamacare, I stated my thesis that elements within the United States government are making a serious and concerted effort to bring about America’s downfall and that the only way to stop it is to stand in their path, united.

But so far conservatives haven’t done this. That’s why we’re in trouble.

Another look at the gop-e and why they/we aren't getting it together to form a common front against the liberal left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbags. They seem to be able to get their message out no matter what. (lsm?) The conservatives/gop-e(?) somehow manage to get footshot constantly. (lsm?)

The Civil War in the Republican Party between the GOPe and Tea Party is REAL. That has to be resolved before we can face the enemy. The sooner the GOPe RINOs shed their phony Conservative skin and become Democrats the better. Then we can get down to the real war.

The GOP-e is sold out to globalists.

In a big, big way.

They fought the war against American unions, and in large part have won. Except now, all America’s former factories are overseas, and now China exports more than America does.

China is a massive closed society. Americans cannot move there. Americans cannot buy things of significance there. Yet our stores are FILLED WITH CHINESE-MANUFACTURED GOODS.

Bring back American factories, and American jobs.

Now.

Everybody has their own theory as to what everyone else should have done.

So what’s the problem? The problem is conservatives are splintered. We quarrel among ourselves over differences in race, religion and other factors.
No we do not. Why is Mrs. L applying liberal stereotypes to conservatives, especially when pointing out what the GOP-e is in the same article? Never mind worrying about what the media does, since they did that with Reagan and he won.

But choose a conservative candidate, and (goaded by the MSM) conservatives will rip him apart because he isn’t perfect and doesn’t walk on water

That comes, greatly, from being burned by previous candidates who claim to be conservative until they get in office. Many candidates know they have to appeal to the conservative branch or they won't get elected. That is why they run to right and serve to the left. Too many have turned out to be pseudo-conservatives.

Conservatives have been corralled since the early days of 'compassionate conservatism'. Do they change the party from within or do they abandon it and build a new party for the future?

One thing is certain: Voting for the same will NOT produce a different result.

The author loses all credibility with this statement.

Maybe Patrice spends time in the religion forum.

Part of the problem is that conservatives are usually hard workers, taking care of their families first with no time for organization. Secondly, they are not generally joiners - being quite individualist. Thirdly, if they join a movement, the get targeted by the IRS.

Another comment from her in the article:

You see? Even though all these different conservative groups may agree about the need for constitutional limitations on government, they’re too busy bickering about everyone else’s skin color or religious creed to ever unify. Then the progressives laugh … and win.

I have no idea what she is talking about.

Regardless of what everyone has done in the past, it’s time for non-Democrats to unite against the muslim in our White House.

How can we tell who they are? The Democrats in the GOP only name themselves by their actions after all.

Agree with one poster who essentially says, first ... we MUST get rid of the GOP-E. Before that, nothing else really matters because without winning that battle, there just isn’t another battle.

There is no doubt we as a nation have an existential war in front of us. Hopefully, it is limited to political and electoral war. Conservatives have seen that the generals on our side are incompetent, at best, and compromised or outright collaborators, at worst. Before engaging the larger battle with the left we must - must - muck out the stables on the right. We are now engaged in that effort in TX, in KY, in SC and KS and TN and MS and in many House districts around the country. The results of these efforts will give indication of how we will fare in the greater war.

Yes he does. He exposes himself as a Concern Troll. We had one of those lock horns briefly with Jim yesterday, using selected Ronald Reagan quotes to support his position that we need to coddle RINOs.

Apparently, she is a lady who lives up in the mountains of the Northwest, homeschools, is into crafts, and tries to be self-sufficient, so she’s not really “in the loop” about anything political, but just relies on what reaches her on her mountaintop. Probably a sweet old lady, but not somebody who follows politics very closely.
