Are humans the enemy? Should pigs and peas have constitutional rights? The War on Humans is a 31-minute documentary that critiques growing efforts to disparage the value of humans in the name of saving the planet. The documentary investigates the views of anti-human activists who want to grant legal rights to animals, plants, and "Mother Earth," and who want to reduce the human population by up to 90%. The video features Discovery Institute Senior Fellow Wesley J. Smith, author of a companion e-book with the same title.

“The documentary investigates the views of anti-human activists who want to grant legal rights to animals, plants, and “Mother Earth,” and who want to reduce the human population by up to 90%.” Let’s start the reduction in human population with these activists. They probably represent less than 0.001% of the world population. When they are gone, the problem is solved and we will still have 99.999% of the population. It should be completed in a couple of days. Call them out to self identify to show they truely support the cause.

The problem as I see it is that this view could be made legitimate by those with government authority who do not believe this for an instant but who could see the support of it as an excuse to eliminate classes of people who do not share their views or are not supporters of their politics..Christians come to mind. I cannot even remember all of the crazy cultural ideas which have come up in just my lifetime that good people did not take seriously because they thought such insanity would never be tolerated. Nevertheless those destructive behaviors became part of our society, killing our way of life and our freedoms as they developed and were promoted by academia. I am horrified at the depth of depravity a corrupt media backed up by an insane academic institution might be able to foist off on a helpless population. Some of us have known all along that our own EPA, set up by Richard Nixon, is working to destroy our human life in America through regulations most people do not understand or are even aware of. Our Congress needs to defund and defund now because these insane people know about boiling a frog slowly.

I am in favor of granting "rights" to animals, plants, and Mother Earth.

As long as I am the one who gets to decide what those rights are.

This is, in fact, the issue. We have various well-tested democratic means of seeking accommodation with the birds and the bees and the trees. We do this via environmental regulation, the NPS and Forest Service, state and local parks, zoning and land use regulation, etc. All of this is fought out in the rough and tumble of politics. Sometimes I like the results; sometimes I don't.

What these newfangled "rights" advocates actually want is an enabling statue granting sweeping and arbitrary plenary powers to unaccountable administrative bodies and judges. The issue is NOT good stewardship. The issue is arbitrary power.

and who want to reduce the human population by up to 90%.

And let me take a wild guess here; they get to decide who the 10% are.

How come these folks want to eliminate 90% of the population but don’t lead by example and off themselves?

Awareness is up and rising. They haven’t won yet and I don’t think they will win. I see a huge difference in today versus 2009. People no longer doubt me when I discuss the attack on coal fired power plants. I believe we will prevail. Maybe bruised but not defeated.

who want to reduce the human population by up to 90%.

And isn't it so amazing that the cretins who believe this *always* count themselves in the 10% or so who would "make the cut"...

Because they are the 10%.

If they could realize their goal, then the factional infighting among the 10% remainder would begin.

I can’t find the quote, but Westbrook Pegler wrote a column once(probably a paraphrase & from memory):

It’s a beautiful morning. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. There are no people.

First they killed off all the Jews. Then, all the blond-haired people killed off all the brown-haired people. Then all the blue-eyed blondes killed off all the brown-eyed blondes. Finally, there were just two people left in all the world: she was a blue-eyed blonde with freckles and he was a blue-eyed blond without freckles. One morning, as they sat down to breakfast, he decided he could not stand the sight of her freckles any longer and so, he shot her. Then he sat down to drink the coffee she had poisoned.

It’s a beautiful morning. The sun is shining and the birds are singing and there are no people.
