The social media site reportedly wants to use drones to bring Internet connection to the two thirds of the world that still lack connectivity, starting with parts of Africa. The initiative is part of the internet.org project, which Facebook backs.

You are right - Facebook is not anonymous so one has to be disciplined. I love it for networking with distant friends but that is about all I use it for. Your concerns are valid. To each his own. ... and Mrs Talk says Hi.
Great! Facebook for African’s is a priority, especially in a land where an 8 transistor radio out of a Sears catalogue form 1967 is considered hi-tech.
Many in Afrika are ill from some tropical disease or aids. I’m sure having access to facebook will help their situation...no?
