I would love to be a record store cat. My late kitty loved jazz and Sinatra.

She hated when I would play rock.

Nice kitties. But work is beneath the dignity of a proper cat. Especially jobs that can be done by lower species (such as humans).

I think that Fred, the deputy, did die an untimely death when he got out in NY traffic.

I think I read about cats being used at Westminster for mice. The British are pretty open about rodent problems in their national landmarks.

If the hoomins think it’s work, why should the cats correct them?

I met Stubbs last Summer. He was sleepy.

Unfortunately, he got attacked by a dog or wolf in the fall.

He was on the mend. But, he does not post much any more.

A friend also emailed me a story about a new(#8) “ Jock” at Chartwell, Churchill’s house. Churchill liked yellow cats named after a friend of his. I don’t think they expect Jock to do any work, though. He was adopted from a shelter. I posted it on Twitter. I find it difficult to post things here.

Thank you, Slings. I’ve seen two or three of them before, but it’s always nice to get a refresher with more information.

One of my kitties, for some reason, likes King Crimson.

Your kitty has good taste. I like “The Court of the Crimson King” but the cover scared me.

Thanks for the adorable pix.

My friend was a property manager of various apartment complexes. She’d take cats home who had been left and abandoned by their owners. One big cat, T.J. got up every morning, strolled two blocks to the saloon, spent the day there imbibing heaven only knows what, then came home at night to sleep. T.J. was something of a celebrity.
