Positive proof that this asshat founder "of docs against glocks" is in no way qualified to hold the surgeon general spot. If he thought the cartoons were at fault, why isn't he going after the cartoonists? He may be "brilliant" like a lot of PhD's, but in real life, clueless. Hope he gets crushed like mcconnel wants the tea party crushed.

Vivek Murthy, 36, complained as a teen that violent pillow fights between him, his brothers and sisters were feeding ‘society’s preoccupation with firearms’ and feather beds.

If it hadn’t been for the Road Runner/Coyote cartoons, we wouldn’t have a coyote problem now. Makes sense to the doc I suppose.

Like the news media did when both John and Bobby Kennedy were killed.

LOL! I know I was “forced” to buy my ‘69 RR because of the cartoons. Had nothing to do with burnin’ up some wide ovals and haulin’ butt.

He is only 36. We used to watch westerns and cartoons on Saturday morning. None of my brothers or childhood friends have shot anyone that I know about. If he thinks violent cartoons affected him I hope he doesn’t own a gun.

It doesn’t surprise me in the least that the 0bama administration intends Warner and Hanna-Barbera to drive national health policy. They’re already driving foreign policy.

BULLSH!T.

I dare her to "name names". She's engaging in a witchhunt.

ACT (Action For Children's Television) had already censored the Saturday morning lineup going back to the early 70s. That gave us the "friendly" pro-social values Tom & Jerry, Yogi's Gang taking on polluting corporations, etc.

Here is the lineup from 1994 when she would've been 16.

There was a silhouette shot of a bad guy with a gun getting it knocked out his hand by a batarang by Batman in the opening credits of that show but I don't know that the villains used guns in the tv cartoon.

As a teen, I watched Road Runner cartoons every Saturdsy morning, and 40 years later I still haven’t shot anyone. This guy sounds so incredibly un-scientific that he couldn’t possibly qualify for the job.

The 1950s and 60s WB cartoons that aired on Saturday morning in the 1990s were heavily screened for political incorrectness and edited down.

The anti-gun nut is mythmaking.

He isn’t even old enough to have seen any of the really funny, violent cartoons. This kid isn’t qualified to be a real doctor, much less Surgeon General of the US.
