Ukip will not oppose gay marriage, Farage reveals as he calls for French-style separate services

Ukip is to drop its opposition to gay marriage, party leader Nigel Farage revealed today.

The move risks angering disaffected Tories who switched to Ukip after same sex weddings were legalised by the coalition, but Mr Farage insisted: ‘We have absolutely no problem with anybody.’

He said that as part of a review of Ukip’s manifesto, which he has dismissed as ‘drivel’, he would not campaign for gay weddings to be banned.

Ukip previously said civil partnerships were a ‘common sense’ way for gay and lesbian couples to register their commitment ‘in a formal way’.

But it warned: Gay marriage is an entirely different thing altogether.’

The party has also been embarrassed by candidates and members expressing homophobic views.

In January Ukip councillor David Silvester was suspended from the party after suggesting the winter floods were linked to the government’s decision to legalise gay marriage.

He claimed the country had been ‘beset by storms’ because the Prime Minister had acted ‘arrogantly against the Gospel’ by passing same-sex marriage laws.

However, Mr Farage has now insisted that he would fight the next election as a supporter of gay marriage.

He made the remarks while taking part in a Q&A with PinkNews. Asked by a reader if UKIP would seek to abolish the marriages of gay and lesbian couples entered into after 29 March 2014 in its 2015 manifesto, Mr Farage simply replied: ‘No.’ Ukip councillor David Silvester was suspended after linking the floods to gay marriage +2

He also called for a move to the French marriage system, where the legal act of marriage is separated from religious ceremonies.

Daily Wail is going full bore against the UKIP this year. But their Tories are not better, which can’t bode well either.

From bad to worse.

Separating marriage from religious ceremonies is the prelude to full surrender on the issue.

It won’t change a single mind of a fag to vote for UKIP, but it will turn off their base.

When will they ever learn?

Well, they deserve to lose. In fact, let the Miliband commies win it all again, and destroy the country ASAP. That or an Islamic takeover. What a rathole, just like MassaScrewits.

Yes, it’s useless and counterproductive to pander to the LibTories. Surely they aren’t trying to provoke people into looking to the BNP? because if the Daily Wail is successful at undermining the UKIP along with the UKIP’s own leadership, it sure won’t lead to a swing back to the Tories or Labour.

I think the takeaway is that 90% of ‘Western European’ countries have gone all-out insane. The Biblical falling away has absolute sway there.

The only hope left for the continent is the sanity of countries like Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, and Russia. I can’t tow this line of ‘we need to stick up for Western Europe against those bullies in the east!’

I share literally nothing in common with the average person in Sweden or England today, and I have no desire to advocate for them any more than I have a desire to advocate for Obama and his cohorts. These people hate God, hate free markets, love Muslims, despise Israel, love degenerates, hate guns, love feminism, and the list goes on. Case closed.

Gays may only be about 2% of the population, but a significant chunk of the hetrosexual population sympathise with them, and they will be turned off UKIP if they are perceived as being mean to them.

There are bigger issues at stake than gay marriage, and frankly, its a dead issue. Opposing it now won’t change anything, but fighting it will needlessly cost votes. The focus needs to be on getting Britain out of the EU, and gay marriage is a distraction from this far more important issue.

One interesting outcome of this is the rise of Poland...they will respond to Russia’s actions, and perhaps pull the other Visegrad Group countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and the Baltics) into a new bloc. They have not yet had the falling away of their Western European counterparts.

No, what you’ll have is just a large bloc not vote, which will only compound the fact that nobody cares about elections there. Its not nearly the spectacle it is here, since leftists always win no matter who is elected.

My recommendation to any decent people left (and they have to be only 20% if that), is just leave... and don’t bother coming here because we’re f8cked as well.

No, they haven’t, and we did see the encouraging rally a few months ago where patriots burned down a sodomy monument. Time will tell for Poland. I think they could lead a new eastern bloc to counteract Russian diplomatic force and provide a counterbalance. The countries further west can continue to fade into irrelevance, a feral backwater called ‘New Canaan’

Germany won’t brook anyone else being the leader on the continent. There will be some interesting games being played in the next few months . . . and the sad thing is that the USA could have stopped them from being played when we had more power and more moral fortitude.

They describe themselves as a libertarian party. They are an actual political party.

Stands for "UK Independence." Anti-European Community party.
