Just to be clear, Jack Donaghy was on 30 Rock, not HIMYM. I brought him up as an example of an actor who can act well despite being personally unbearable.

Mr B is a professional, he’s touching up, not us, and he will know how to do it, he’s been in business for 40 years.

I’m glad you mentioned that. It bothered me that after all these years of us seeing Ted as a really good guy - searching for and yearning for love, he finally meets his soul mate and then marrying her is no longer important. He was all about honor before, then brings two children into the world with a woman he loves and marriage isn’t part of that equation? Then, after we think Barney has finally become a stand up guy, he fathers a child with a women who is only a number to him, yet the child is the love of his life. We know how often sperm donors get to see a child when they have no connection to the mother. I understand people have childen when they aren’t married - not every relationship works - but they spent all that building up Ted as “not that guy” and he turns out to be exactly “that guy”

The mother actually said “we’ll have to move up the wedding” so she could fit into the dress. I would have thought they, you know, did that. I thought it odd to be mentioned down the road that they never got hitched.

I honestly thought that Barney’s “perfect month” was going to be him going 0 for 31. That would have been realistic.

i just emailed Mr B to say that in his conversation with the manufacturer’s rep it may not hurt to let her know that we are two lawyers. i said we are not litigious and have never sued a soul for anything, but that it is sometimes helpful for people we are dealing with to know that we know our rights and we know exactly what to do if we are not made whole. being required to pay for the labor of replacement, and potentially being left with doors that do match, do NOT equate to being made whole and that is what is not sitting well right now.

Maybe I heard wrong. I was thinking “hurry and get married.”

You really do have to watch those warranty terms. That’s part of what I do, administer warranty costs. Our standard terms call for replacement of defective parts, but not for “in and out” charges, which can be substantial.

mr B has been in the business like i said for several decades, he’s never seen this. this winter was cold, but it was not a record breaking year so far as i have seen mentioned.

Hey you are supposed to have a better memory than me~! lol I thought she said put it off because she wouldn’t fit in her dress and I have issues with people doing that. Yes I’m judgemental about it - I just think once a child is in the equation, they become the focus - not your big fancy dream wedding. I dont’ mean that as a punishment, just that the excitement and focus should be on getting things ready to provide for that child - and to me, gathering a few friends and making it legal is just my idea of what they should have done in the show - like they did five or six years after the kids were born! lol

I have some friends who have a son who had graduated from college, had a good job and was dating a girl for several years. They found out she was pregnant and I kept waiting for the wedding announcement..... the baby was born and then I waited for the announcement. The child was almost a year old before they got married and I just wondered why? There wasn’t a financial issue - they were very much in love and had intended to marry, baby or not - so it was just her wanting the wedding. (Which, as it turned out, was one of the quirky Texas weddings with men in jeans and girls in boots.... so not even the foo foo church wedding I thought she was waiting for. On top of that she is a chunky girl so it wasn’t like she needed to be in a size 4 wedding dress. (Ok I’m done..... ;^)

Now wait a second

So not only is telling his kids this long rambling story which is mostly about his unhealthy obsession with that emotionally unavailbale woman, Robin, but then he never even married his baby momma. Ted is a terrible person.

Sorry-I’m used to customers asking me how to do stuff like touchups-I was on auto pilot...

I wouldn’t hesitate to let them know-and asking you to do anything but schedule the fix-whatever it turns out to be-doesn’t sound like being made whole to me either-more like half screwed...

What brand were those cabinets-I want to put them on our never-recommend list. With all the carpenters and cabinetmakers out here, and everybody needing work, we don’t get many people buying/ordering cabinets from retail outlets-but if they do, I certainly don’t want to order a ready-made pissed off customer...

I was thinking she already had the dress, so would get married tout de suite so she would still fit in it. I guess I was wrong.

He did get married. That was the last scene in McClaren’s, right before the wedding. Tracy dragged Robin in as a surprise. He did it many years after the kids were born.
