Kuban said the stone may contain materials that are more than 100 million years old, but that doesnt mean the rock formed around the hammer so long ago. Some limestone has formed around artifacts known to be from the 20th century, so rocks can sometimes form fairly quickly.
Baughs website says, however, that the fossils in the stone surrounding the hammer retain fine detail, indicating that they were not reworked, but [are] part of the original formation. This would suggest the fossils and the hammer are from the same time period, that the fossils did not just get mixed up in materials that formed rock around the hammer at a later date.
Carbon dating performed in the late 1990s showed inconclusive dates ranging from the present to 700 years ago, Baugh supporter David Lines reported at the time. According to Kuban, Lines said the test had been contaminated by more recent organic substances. Such contamination is one of the reasons Baugh is said to have delayed having the artifact carbon dated (skeptics say he delayed because he feared being proved wrong). Dating is often called into question on both sidesby skeptics and proponentsfor various reasons when it comes to ooparts.

The picture of the ‘object’ is of a replica of an ‘object’ in possession of somebody. There are so-called facts that say the rock surrounding the object are said to be 100 million years old.
Produce the original. Have it tested by multiple labs for authenticity, THEN write the story.

IT'S HAMMER TIME!!!
Boy, did I LOVE his music. And, BOY, am I dating myself!! :o)
I was a skater back then, therefore, I hated MC Hammer.
Limestone melts and refreezes. This is how stalactites and stalagmites are formed. I have some in my garage. My house was built in 1950.
Great hoax
Prehistoric Craftsman Tool?
I don’t see mention of the source; it could have been an early version of a poured concrete foundation and a forgotten tool from a hundred or fewer years ago.
That is a rail spike maul. A tool of torture I have used in employment years ago.
One either loved or hated him. Skate to him? Impossible.
I was teaching aerobics back then and Hammer was PERFECT. The students loved it too.
I do believe that is a railroad spike hammer. So,unless they find a stretch of ancient RR track I doubt if it is more than 140 years old.
Did “Doctor” Baugh sell you any snake oil? I have been there and he is not credible. I am not saying he doesn’t believe what he teaches but his long history of falsifying credentials by commission and omission are notorious. I don’t trust him to be objective any more than Algore.
