THE SIEGE OF the Waco compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by the US military and police took place between 28 February and 19 April 1993. The Branch Davidians was a sect that separated from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1955 and were led by David Koresh. In the run up to the siege, a local newspaper had printed a series of stories about the cult’s leader Koresh, stating that he had physically abused children in the compound and had committed statutory rape by taking multiple underage brides. Koresh, an advocate for polygamy was married to several women from the cult’s community. It was also believed that the cult was stockpiling weapons.

Naps, sometimes communication is not a good thing. I think you need to digress. JMO

Benghazi and Waco share similarities - betrayal, weapons fire pouring into a burning building, liberals who can’t see a problem...

“.. and arrested him on his jog”.

If I remember correctly, Darren, didn’t Koresh leave the compound to go shopping in town quite frequently? I remember that bit being discussed at the time. My question was if they wanted to arrest him.. why not wait till he left the compound?

I think it could have easily stopped if David Koresh would have talked with authorities. I don’t remember much of the story, but communication is a good thing for the living. Not so much for the dead.

Sorry, but that has no basis in fact whatsoever. These folks were no danger to anyone else. If they'd wanted to arrest David Koresh, they could have done so the Sunday previous to the initial raid, when he was at the same gun range as the ATF. The local sheriff is on record as saying that all they'd had to to was to have him call Mr. Koresh and he'd come to his office. Everything, from the very beginning was a complete abuse of government power from the very beginning, that ultimately resulted in the murder of over 90 people (the headline is wrong. They apparently left out the 17 children killed by the CS gas that was pumped in to the building to act as an accelorant.

These people had no reason whatsoever to think, after the initial raid that killed and wounded several of them that they would be treated like human beings by Fedzilla. They were obviously correct in that assumption.

This was all over a $200 tax stamp for weapons. $200 bucks and we’re supposed to beg not to be attacked?

This, in itself makes no sense, as they had at least one, possibly two people there who were class-3 dealers.

They did not want to arrest him. They want to kill him and everyone including children in the compound. They were reports of unarmed women and children being shot down as they fled the flames.

That,[get to shoot down unarmed children, women, and men] in my opinion was what the BLM goons thought they were going to get to do when they went to Bundy' land in Nevada. Once they saw that it was not going to be as easy as they were led to believe it would be, all of a sudden, the thought of watching people's head explode through a telescopic sight lens lost its appeal to them.

Carol Moore’s collection of Waco information was outstanding back in the day. Somewhere around here, I have an archive of every single article published by the Dallas Morning News during the siege and murder of those people.

At the time of the massacre, Holder was a Clinton foot-soldier---then-Deputy Attorney General to befuddled AG Auntie Janet.

Some reports say Holder aided and abetted the Clinton/Reno Waco cover up.

When then-US Attorney, James W. Blagg, dared to publicly question the Department of Justice cover-up of the Waco/Branch Dividian episode, he was personally removed from the investigation by Holder.

"... the thought of watching people's head explode through a telescopic sight lens lost its appeal to them."

It must have occurred to them that their own heads might be in someone else's sights.

Totally agree. My point, with all due respect to your point, was that the feds claimed the raid was for the $200 stamp and that was the official reason for going in. As you pointed out, even that makes no sense as they did not find weapons without stamps and there were members of the cult that had licenses.

The Branch Davidians had a couple of AR-15 autosears for which they had not bought the $200 tax stamps.

Which I understand was never actually PROVEN, BTW. The NRA tried to get hold of the guns that were supposedly converted to have them examined by an independent organization, Chuck the Schmuck Schumer threw a hissy fit, the guns were impounded, and never physically inspected. So the story goes.

How many times could they have simply arrested Koresh when he went into town?

Then they added that he had a meth lad and was abusing children. Mr. Bundy hasn't reached that stage yet, but it is coming. Right now it is at the ,”He is a thief, He is a crook” stage. Later on he will be called a Jehovah’s Witness, a Seventh Day Adventist, a Southern Baptist and after they murder him they will discover bomb making materials on his property and child porn on his computer. And still later Harry Reid will relunctanly accept the deed to his property. And then the Government moles and plants will gleefully chant,”He brought it on himself, he got what he deserved”.

That is why they said, "Feet, do your duty and get me the hell out of here."

That took all the fun out of it for them. With that thought, it was not near as funny as it was a minute before.

Democrats like murdering folks.
Anyone that they figure are defenseless is fine.
Babies (born or not yet), old folks, political opponents, etc etc...never got over their slave owner days or Jim Crowed days...but hey! plenty of others have done similar...Hitler, Mao, Lenin/Stalin, Pol Pot, Clinton/Reno, Obama/Holder,...the list goes on.

Evil is, as evil does.

duh?
