Waiting for the end of the World.
me | 04/21/14 | Zeneta

Posted on 04/21/2014 6:45:24 PM PDT by Zeneta

I, like most conservative thinking people reject any and virtually all attempts to "Tell Me" what to think.

We tend to have a need to find out things in a different way. Experience, and a deeper understanding of human nature then that what the "books" have to say.

Those that trust the books of the elitist class have sold themselves into its slavery. The slavery of being told, the slavery of authority. They have bought into the uncertainty contained in what it means to be alive.

Lost is an understatement.

The lost souls of indifference are exploited by every and all. Because they can.

Debating with my ex-girlfriend on any number of topics I found myself asking her "What do you own" ?

What, do you hold as truth ?

I was an A**hole and verbally attacked for asking.

This is the issue.

So, I’m waiting for the end of the World.

You won’t have to wait long...

Exactly the way I feel too. All day long everywhere. I am just weary of hearing no you can’t say or do this or that, you’ll offend. I am tired of compromising me. All these “special” interest groups bitching always about everything. ENOUGH!!!!!

What the F888 do you own ?

Nothing.

What do you acquiesce to get along in order keep from causing trouble ?

I suppose that depends on my mood or state of mind--sometimes I do and sometimes I do cause trouble.

Do you make compromises ?

Certainly, I think it is necessary for many things in life

Why ?

Sometimes out of love, sometimes I do it because I will have a better outcome to compromise than if I decide to not compromise (selfish reasons). Some things no, I would never compromise on. It is nothing in stone, it's just dealing as best I can with what comes next. Being too stubborn usually leads me to unhappiness.

That’s cool, but I don’t see it happening that way.

What I see is the recognition of the end of human knowledge.

That will be the end.

To be honest, most of science has gone into the “Meta” world of possibility vs. that of reality.

The acknowledgement that our understanding “things” has run into a brick wall.

All of this is being deferred to our ability to rationalize everything but that of a Creator.

At some point, this will crash into God.

Currently we are either from God or aliens.

Evolutionary “theory” hardly makes a dent anymore.

The end of the world will come when it is realized that the only answer to our existence is that of our Creator.

No No,

The honest atheist will tell you that “Free will” is an illusion.

From Dawkins, Dennet, Sam Harris and William Provine.

I have contemplated the question of “free will” for many years. It’s at the heart of the debate.

“That’s cool, but I don’t see it happening that way.”
The end is going to happen just as the Bible says it will. (By the way, Jesus is the Word. He is the Bible. It is a Living Book)

“Currently we are either from God or aliens.”

God is real. We have been created in His likeness and He loves us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus to die for our sins.

One day soon everything name will bow to the name of His Son, Jesus because He conquered death and sits at the right hand of God.

I know.

But, when will they know ?

My contention is that they won’t know until they have exhausted all other possibilities.

God gave us the capacity to explore to the edge of his creation.

Some seem to think there is a “scientific” answer and they are now invoking unprovable theories.

“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”

..Robert Jastrow.

I was thinking Elvis Costello.

But I could easily transition to The Doors.

Sounds like your having an existential crisis.

I guess they would. They lack faith and without faith it would seem but an illusion to them. But free will is there, they just refuse to reach for it.

God gave us ALL free will, I have faith and I want more than swimming around with my water wings in the shallows of the mind. I find everything with God.

Matthew 5:45

45 that ye may be the children of your Father who is in Heaven. For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Hell, I’m PRAYING for the end of the world.

What man rendered, even with the best of intentions, sucks.

I want God’s version.

The object of our focus should always invoke critical thinking and judgment (we've forgotten that this is the goal of a Liberal Arts education and not “Gender Studies for Underwater Basket Weaving in Ancient Mayan Civilization”).

We should always remain skeptical about the massive media, government dictates & advertising wave that carries millions along the stream of rubbish into the darkness of ignorance.

The late Physicist Dr. Carl Sagan once demonstrated (in his COSMOS 1980 show) that if we read a book, everyday for the average human lifespan, we will have really read but only a minuscule of nearly nothing regarding important knowledge that is out there, (and that was before the Internet era!). So, choose wisely what you read because there just isn't enough time to gain significant knowledge in this life. It's your choice, just like eating. We choose both kinds of nourishment we put into our bodies and minds.

Avoid the mass media and what it recommends we do what things posses value and how to live your life. Most folks are locked in and just flowing along. Was your ex-girlfriend one of those Grogs?

Carl Sagan was right in so many ways. Stay alert, your freedom depends on it.
