SURFSIDE BEACH, SC -Commotion at the Surfside Walmart Thursday afternoon led to a West Virginia couple being escorted from the store in handcuffs. What started as a shoplifting case ended with a car being towed with drugs and ammo inside.
James Ferguson, 26, and his wife, Leeza Ferguson, 19, both of West Virginia were stopped on suspicion of shoplifting. An employee noticed the couple because the woman had a very large handbag. The report indicates they put a phone charger and swimsuit in the handbag and then they moved to the register where they purchased a few small items but made no attempt to pay for the concealed items.

My mother-in-law lives in Surfside Beach. I’ve shopped at that very Walmart.
If Walmart follows their historical reaction to this type of situation, both employees will be looking for a new job soon.
That’s true.
if they were Liberal supporters in the San Fran area, Nancy Pelosi would of paid their bail and give them positions of Leadership.
The Kohl’s store in Woodridge, Il caught and prosecuted several shop lifters every month. I wish all stores would do that. Walmart does’nt care. They just pass on the cost to those of us who do not shoplift.
They may get fired, but I’m sure there are a few business owners who’d appreciate hiring those individuals because they showed initiative and did the right the thing at the risk to their own lives from the criminals and from Wally World.
A guy I sold a house to in Atlanta was an immigrant from South Africa. He was in the security business. He was head of security for department stores there. He told me that where he was from, it was commonplace for shoplifters to be armed.

Wow, that’s a HARD 19. The neck tat is real classy, too.
A poor meth head just can’t catch a break these days.
That's probably because the conviction rate is low. Grand theft and armed robbery carry very different sentences.
I live in Myrtle beach been to that Walmart many of a time.
