You've heard of a pizza pie - it is only logical that the next step would be pizza cake.
Canadian pizza chain Boston Pizza has created this six-tier, cheese-laden, 5,000 calorie behemoth as part of its series 'pizza game changers'.
Customers are invited to vote on which outlandish pizza mutation or accessory they would like to see the company make - other inventions include a gas-powered pizza cutter, a lockable pizza protector and a handy pair of pizza cheese clippers.
Standing at just under six inches high, Pizza cake has been a runaway success, receiving over 15,000 votes - beating pizza mints in second place with 2,204 votes.
Canadians will soon be able to enjoy a baked mountain of pizza that's "great for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings, and even lonely nights watching infomercials".
Boston Pizza, which has 350 eateries in Canada, currently has no plans to expand to the UK.
That has just surpassed fetuccine alfredo for the title of “heart attack on a plate”.

i think it would be good as long as you’re not looking for a real crisp crust. those inner crusts, not sure how well they’d turn out. love to find out though.
haven’t you seen those huge multi-pound burgers slathered in all sorts of things? Those are the real widowmakers.
Those things are not so bad if you approach them as a novelty “once-in -a-lifetime” situation, not as regular fare. I do recall an ad in the british press for the “whopper pizza” , a pizza whose base ingredients was 8 whoppers placed in a circular pattern with the comical caption “because the whopper failed to kill you”. LOL

My sons says, “You’ve gotta make it! Gotta make it!”
It looks like a challenge...I will have to think about this one.
The pizza equivalent of Smith Island Cake.
Trying to figure the logistics of the outside crust...I’m guessing pre baking the interior crusts (layers)...I have 4 sons, so this could place me in “AwesomeMom” status if I can master this :)
It only exists as a computer fabricated photo.
You’d have to pre-sear the toppings and pre-bake the crusts, and somehow meld the crisp crusts to a raw outer crust, then bake... and you might end up with a mushy mess inside.
But if you could pull it off you might be listed in books of great inventors.
That’s a photo shop?!? I shoulda known...
My battle plan, if I were to try this, prebake layers (all but cheese) assemble, adding cheese then sealing the layers with an unnamed, rolled out crust, baked to crisp exterior.
Not a recipe attempt for faint of heart...a lot “dough” tied up there.
Master that, keep it to yourself, and no girlfriend of your boys will ever measure up.
Yes please.
Just take a bunch of pizzas and stack em up and cuts them. Lol
