Wish I could get my Mom to eat it...but, she hates coconut. I actually cook in Coconut oil for just about everything....rub it on my skin, and use it in my morning coffee, with cinnamon. Yum. (I don’t like cream/milk in my coffee.)

Lol...Are you sure they aren’t having a placebo effect? Maybe you are having a placebo effect for them.

I’m starting my jar tonight! It’s worth a shot.

I want to try it on my “progressive” brother-—perhaps he’ll start thinking straight and become a conservative.

What kind of trouble sleeping? I haven’t slept well in around 13 years.

Dr. MacNessa prescribes Poteen!

"Now learned men, that wield the pen have wrote your praises high!
That sweet Poteen, from Ireland green, distilled from Malt and Rye!
Throw away your pills, it'll cure all ills, be ye Pagan or Christian or Jew!
Take off your coat and grease your throat with the real old Mountain Dew!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Been cooking with coconut oil for 2 years - only fats I use is coconut oil, home rendered organic lard and organic butter (I also make ghee from butter.

I get my coconut oil from Swanson's Vitamins on line - can get a 54 oz. jar for about the same money as 16 oz at local health food store.

Swanson's has free shipping offers regularly - and then’ is when I order heavy stuff, like the coconut oil, Bob's Red Mill flours/mixes, etc.

I can't, however, down straight coconut oil. I gag. But I use it in generous amounts when cooking - fry eggs almost swimming in it, heat up my pork fried rice in liberal amounts, pop corn in it, mix with butter to put on popped corn and pancakes and crepes, French toast, etc.

I'm a great grandmother - can do the crosswords - doing good so far. (I think :)....)

LOL!

Doubt it.

I started with it because Odin is hypothyroid and even though the Soloxine is ‘fixing’ the T levels, he still tends to have dry skin, sparse hair in the typical places and gets fat, easily.

The coconut oil worked *so* well on him, I started giving it to everybody.

I buy this brand

http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/nutiva-coconut-oil-organic-ext-virgin-54-oz-solid/yr-1009#.U1yL-lev18E

First I bought it online but the local Vitamin Shoppe carries it, too.

They love the taste.

I think it’s okay..but kinda bland.

HA....I don’t know....I’ve been a health nut for years....but, at my age, I don’t have the aches and pains of people my age, and can probably out exercise most 30+ year old women. I do 23 minute intervals on a treadmill 3x a week, Pilates 2x a week, and lift weights, too. (I’m 63.)

It’ll be interesting to see how you do over the long term with it.

You can buy coconut oil at Wally World, in the shortening section. It is LouAna brand, non hydrogenated, 30 ounces for about $6.00. Tastes great. Good on hair, skin also.

Liberals are intellectually constipated so you *might* want to try an alternative “dosing method”.
