One of the best films ever and a great Sunday film
Din! Din! You lazarousian beggar.
The baddies in that movie were the same as in indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!
Thugs...without the jack-boots.
Great movie and you just can not beat Rudyard Kipling
Kipling had some amazing insights.
My grandfather loved Kipling, and quoted his poetry all the time.
Smart fellow.
Now THAT movie is among my all-time favorites!
Yes, he was. I loved my grandparents!
Just a fantastic movie. Eduardo Ciannelli as the thuggee cultist in the scene where he is bellowing ‘death, death death!’ is tremendous. One of the creepiest little scenes ever.

Didn’t Victor Mclaglen play in a bunch of John Wayne movies including ‘The Quiet Man’ in his latter years? Had never seen this one and liked it.
There is a Shirley Temple movie, “Wee Willie Winkie” although I am not sure of the spelling.
Victor plays Sergeant McDuff in a Scottish regiment in India. When Shirley sings “Auld Lang Syne” at the Sergeant’s funeral, my eyes teared up.
Great movie. It’s greatest limitation was the over-acting of the oddly-chosen cast. Which was also why it was a big hit.
Then they made Sergeants 3 with the Rat Pack. Same script.

That guy truly creeped me out!
Great acting!
Thanks! I’ll check that out.
((((Hug)))
I saw that one also. I think ‘The Quiet Man’ was one of Wayne’s best and Victor played a great role in it. If you saw it you had to notice the supporting actors were great. One of my favorite movies. Victor had a great sense of comedy I always thought. He played the same role in all his movies but I have always gotten a kick out of him.
Thanks for the info.
