Coca-Cola or Pepsi: Can You Guess Which Brand Is Tops in Consumer Loyalty?
The Motley Fool ^ | Apr 27, 2014 | Sean Williams

We know Coca-Cola and Pepsi are profitable soft-drink giants, but one of these two companies is significantly better than the other at keeping customers loyal and engaged with the brand.

Although the soda industry is made up of dozens upon dozens of beverages choices, chances are good that the soda you last consumed was made by either Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) or PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), which absolutely dominate the industry.

I love Coke. I buy a ton of diet coke every year. I certainly due my part in keeping this company afloat.

I don’t care for Coke or Pepsi.
Haven’t had their products in house for a decade or more...

Coke or Pepsi? Neither, make mine Hosmer Mountain or Foxon Park. Both are small Connecticut soda companies. That said, I love Vanilla Coke.

For big national cola company give me RC Cherry. But I love Dr. Pepper.

I have averaged one or two diet cokes a day for the past thirty years. Don’t like diet pepsi at all, just doesn’t taste as good.

“coca cola” is the second most understood word around the world after “OK”.

Really? I would have thought the word "no" was more easily understood than both of them.

You probably have a variation in the enzymes that metabolize alcohol. Some people convert alcohol to toxic metabolites making drinking an unpleasant exercise.

I drink SodaStream . . . like it fine enough, especially their cola and Dr. Pete. The Root Beer is very good also.

Besides, the company is housed in Israel.

I never cared for Pepsi but then I read that they were buying their flavoring mix from China and it had dead baby stem cells in it. That really sealed the deal.

I don’t know about my enzymes, but my taste buds said Wild Turkey tasted like turpentine.

I figured if this is what a “good” whiskey tastes like, no sense trying any others.

That was 1968.

Same thing happened with cigarettes. I was ten, Mom light up a fresh one at the breakfast table. It smelled good so I asked her if I could try a puff. She gave it to me and I took one puff and started choking. Never tried one again.

Drinking 3 glasses of wine 12 beers a day is better for you than 3 cokes.

I prefer Coke because they use more carbonation but that story sounds pretty far fetched.
