That amuses me coming from a former long suffering Red Sox fan. The Sox are dominating the early 2000’s just like they did in the early 1900’s. She also saw a pitcher named Babe Ruth beat the Cubbies in the 1918 World Series.

She also saw a pitcher named Babe Ruth beat the Cubbies in the 1918 World Series. It is a long drive from Oklahoma to Wrigley Field, so she might not have made it to the Chicago for the game. She might have had to settle for seeing the highlights on Sports Center, hosted by a very young Chris Berman.

She could have sat in the lap of a Founding Father,
With V-2 missiles making test flights (also proving the sound barrier was no limit) plus the altitude of Paris Gun projectiles in WWI, one could say she lived to the dawn of the Space Age.
