Hedge Clippers

Posted on 05/12/2014 11:31:09 AM PDT by stirrinthepuddin

I have a couple of questions that I need answers to before I run out and purchase a new hedge clipper.

My first question is: Should I go with a corded or battery powered one?

I have never had any type of battery operated tool (other than a drill) that was worth a d@mn .. battery wears out quickly or doesn't hold a charge for long and is usually underpowered.

My other question is: What length blade is ideal?

I have be using a cr@ppy little 16 inch blade for a few years and it really sucks using it on my four foot wide hedges!

I am not really sure what length blades are available?

Simple as they are, those are my two questions that I hope some of you can help me with.

Thank You

Battery-operated ones blow. And if you go with cord-operated, you’ll end up wishing you bought a gas-operated one in a couple months. (Unless you really don’t have much work to do).

Go to Amazon.com, enter the product you are interested in and read the reviews. There are hundreds of them.

Check out your local rent all store. How often would you use one? Once a year?

As someone who has cut through my own cord on more than one occasion (with results that resembled Roy Hobbs driving that ball into the light tower) I vote for battery.

Why don't you post this drivel on facebook?

or call your local library.

I know I have the choice not to read your posts, but If I don't protest, how would you know?
