"It's not every day a fraternity gets itself kicked out over sorority hazing, but UConn has unceremoniously dumped Sigma Alpha Epsilon on the heels of giving Kappa Kappa Gamma the boot last weekboth over hazing allegations by a former member of the sorority who said she was forced to "sizzle like bacon" on the floor, then guzzle booze until she passed out."

Making someone “guzzle booze until she passed out” is not a laughing matter. People have died from hazing incidents like that.
I remember sizzling like bacon from my fraternity days.
Better than pushups.
I agree with that.
OK I’ll bite.....what the heck is “sizzling like bacon??”— on the floor no less. I went to college, and I never heard of that one. I must have been at work at one of my 30 crappy jobs I had in college while I worked my way through and missed out on this practice.
Seven years of college down the drain!
The Girl Scouts do the “sizzling like bacon” thing, too.
The drinking until you pass out thing, not so much...
I agree. A lot of these “drink till you pass out” hazings have resulted in deaths. No laughing matter.
Not condoning it, but it’s not hard to fake “passing out” while guzzling booze. Or so some said when I was in college.
I dunno. Desecrating bacon? They should fry.
The frat was sure in the fire this time!
That’s what I was going to say. I used to fake drinking all the time. I just carried a glass with orange juice and everyone thought I had a mixed drink. The drunker they got, the drunker they thought I got.
I’d see people the next day and they’d ask if I had a hangover and I’d just tell them I never had hangovers for some reason, lucky, I guess.
Just getting on the ground and sizzling. Flay your arms and legs around a bit.
It was really a chance to recover from all the pushups.
