My pleasure. Some kitties are in touch with their inner lion.

Some kitties are in touch with their inner lion.

There is a saying: Cats exist to allow humans to interact with lions.

My childhood cat was up a tree with the neighbor’s german shepherd after it. I went out and tried to chase the dog off, but it turned on me. Before it could get near me, the cat came down and ripped the dogs face up so bad it had to be put down.

Cats are great until they get tired of you.

Good kitties. After reading this, I can’t believe that there are people who think animals
don’t have souls. They obviously have cognitive abilities beyond being “dumb” animals.

And they’re not dumb (mute). They certainly do speak.

They’re all heroes...they mend broken hearts, give unconditional love, soothe souls and teach people how to love and care.

That’s the cat quote I was trying to remember. I see that I muddled it, just a bit. :)

When I was recuperating from surgery, I was sitting up in bed one nite after taking a pain med & fell asleep. I was waiting for me husband to come home at 3AM from work. All of a sudden there was my sweet Siamese Ming Toy with his front paws on my chest and screaming on top of his lungs in my face. I woke up with a start & asked him what was wrong. He immediately jumped off the bed and ran out to the hall outside my bedroom door, turned around and screamed at me again, as if to follow him. I stumbled out after him to the top of the stairs, looked down the staircase to the hall & the front door. Ming Toy ran down to the door and looked up at the doorknob and was yelling at the top of his lungs. Someone was trying to get into our house. I called my husband who said it wasn't him at the door & to call the police. He & the police arrived shortly but the bad guy at my door apparently drove off in great haste across my lawn, tearing up the lawn and shrubs. My precious Ming Toy was my hero..ordinarily he would not ever, for some reason, step into the master bedroom, but on this one night he did, and saved our home. Miss that wonderful, silly Siamese something awful.

I know my late husband is already with him, and our other sweet feline family members: Ginger, Goldie and Fudgie. They meant the world to us.

One more story about how cats care for us and each other. We had a fire in our home..I thought the dryer had turned off b/4 we left our home that day, which resulted in a basement fire with smoke damage to the upstairs first floor. My Siamese Ming Toy and his partner, our girlie girl cat Ginger were left at home. When we drove up to the house and realized that the fire was at our home, we saw the police officer holding Ginger in her arms, but no Ming Toy. The front door of our home was wide open and hoses and water covered the foyer floor. I then saw Goldie jump out of the arms of the police officer and run into the house. When the police officer went in the house, either she or a fireman found Goldie, and his pal Ming Toy, who was hiding behind the drapes in the dining room. Goldie had to save his pal Ming Toy, and knew where to find him. That's love! Cats can show much love, and like many humans, are rather laid back about it, but can show deep love and emotion in a time of crisis.
