A globally-renowned climate scientist has been forced to step down from a think-tank after he was subjected to 'Mc-Carthy'-style pressure from scientists around the world.
Professor Lennart Bengtsson, 79, a leading academic from the University of Reading, left the high-profile Global Warming Policy Foundation as a result of the threats, which he described as 'virtually unbearable'.
The group was set up by former Tory Chancellor Lord Lawson and are sceptical about radical policy changes aimed at combating global warming.
The Swedish climatologist, who has published more than 200 papers, said he received hundreds of emails from colleagues criticising his decision to switch to the organisation.
His 'defection' was described as the biggest switch from the pro-climate change lobby to the sceptic camp to date.
He was also abused on science blogs, with one describing the people who condemned him as 'respectable' and that his actions amounted to 'silliness'.
Another described him as a 'crybaby'.

Mass of the atmosphere is 5.15 X 10^18 kilograms contained in a volume of 4.2 billion cubic km. CO2 is 0.039% of the total gases in it.
The arrogance that human activity is responsible for such dire predictions on the massive scale of the earth is absurd. What comes closest to mind when I see these ridiculous claims are a bunch of Mayans in the jungle absolutely terrified of an eclipse and believing the world is ending.
Any dissent will be ruthlessly attacked. Your career and your life will be destroyed.
Your wealth will be confiscated.
SWAT teams will descend upon you in the dead of night.
You will be sued into submission.

f you made $100,000 per year after taxes then you could buy anything you could ever need in the free market because someone would produce it for money( look at the millions of products for sale on Google , internet , ebay , amazon,Walmart, Dollar Tree etc etc). So we don't need government for ANYTHING. private industry created a whole city DISNEY WORLD in Florida. So democrats create fake crisis like “global warming”,”no health insurance crisis” to justify the very existence of government and the continued growth of government(socialism)

1.) IF we assume that CO2 is the root problem to Global Warming and Climate Change, THEN consider what would happen if atmospheric CO2 were, somehow, to be eliminated:
The process of Photosynthesis, defined chemically as follows:

would cease to generate carbohydrates, (C6H12O6), for most plants and the animals that eat the plants and eat the animals that eat the plants.
2.) To the best of my research, there has never been a cause and effect experiment that establishes that a change* in the concentration of CO2 has had a measurable effect on the temperature of the air.
*Note: at atmospheric concentrations of CO2 approximating maximum to minimum living conditions for most plants.
3.) All known published speculations on the effect of CO2 on temperature are based on the false assumption, as proven by # 2 above, that there is a measurable effect of the change in atmospheric concentration of CO2 on the temperature of the atmosphere.
It is Scientists such as Dr. Lennart Bengtsson who are willing to oppose the peer pressure of emotion-based politics, and stand, resolute, for what can be proven by fact-based Science.
Such men inspire other Scientists to continue the never ending search for Truth, regardless of the severity of peer-pressure inquisition at the time.
As we look to our own US Society, now in the watershed battle between the adherents of the original, empirical-based, US Constitution, and the proponents of emotion-based Socialism, let us pause now and then to refresh our courage by remembering the bravery of men such as true Scientist Dr. Lennart Bengtsson.

Calling it McCarthyism is inaccurate. Properly it is “Lysenkoism.”
“Lysenko rejected Mendelian genetics in favor of the hybridization theories of Russian horticulturist Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin, and adapted them to a pseudoscientific movement termed ‘Lysenkoism’.

To explain further, Lysenko advocated the idea that mankind could control nature and genetics, and *train* agricultural crops to adapt to what was for them, unnatural conditions.
The same theory was used to support the idea that young children could be raised by the state as “perfect socialists”.
Though Lysenkoism has been utterly discarded in Russia as garbage, a surprising number of American leftists still embrace the concept as “settled science”.
Sure beginning to look as though McCarthy was right! When you see the ridiculousness that is going on in this country today, there is no question that there is a subversive element to society today.
