The news comes amid reports that the NFL and the St. Louis Rams were unaware of Sam’s docuseries plans and just two days after the Discovery-owned cable network officially greenlighted the reality show.

It’s clear that we, along with the world, recognize the important opportunity that Michael now has in this moment. We will continue to support him in his journey to earn a spot playing for the Rams.”

Cutting through all the BS, the NFL totally controls and must pre-approve, be involved with, and control the flow of revenue of ANY commercial venture that any NFL personnel are involved in.
Obviously, the Okra folks are completely clueless about how the NFL works. Sam, until he was drafted, was not an employee of the NFL and could do what he wanted, but now that he’s an employee, he can’t do squat without NFL approval. You’d of thunk his agent would have explained all of this to him, but looks like he’s got a clueless agent as well. Or maybe they all just thought being queer was special enough that the regular rules didn’t apply to him, you know, “Being queer means you never have to say you’re sorry.”
You mean they looked into it and realized it would attract only 15% of OWN Network viewers?

If this had been known before the draft, he would have never been drafted.
This makes sense now.
Sam was never serious about playing in the NFL. He didn’t prepare for the Combine. He showed up out of shape and indifferent. His coming out can now be explained as a ruse. He has been looking to cash in since Mizzou played its’ bowl game.
With this TV show cancelled now, I believe that there is a 60-40% chance that Sam will not show up when training camp opens. He is a star now, (much like The Kardashians) and he cannot risk injuring his wonderful body. Don’t believe me, just ask his boyfriend...

Apparently Sam believed he could have cameras on him and all the other players throughout training until he’s cut. I can understand why he believed it. He now believes he can get anything. I predict he’ll be working in a car wash in a few years. Once he’s cut and everyone is finished using him they will abandon him.
