Some bacon lovers are complaining that an all-you-can-eat event in Frederick fell short of their expectations.

The Frederick News-Post (http://bit.ly/1o1eI7T ) reported Tuesday that the Maryland attorney general's office has fielded at least three consumer complaints stemming from last weekend's Beer Bacon Music.

Some of the 5,000 people who paid up to $125 for tickets to the event say they were lucky to get a few strips of bacon from the all-you-can-eat bacon bar advertised by promoters.

Even Twinkie bacon Stonehenge bacon photo: bacon wrapped stonehenge baconstonehenge.jpg can be improved by smearing it with butter and dusting with powdered sugar.

Hey - you haven't lived until you've had a Central PA Candadian Bacon Cosmo.

I’m down with the smoked pork loin, but it’s not quite the same as belly. By a long shot.

Reference Post #4.

That’s something that in a past life (like two or three months ago) I would have enjoyed - nay - reveled in.

I would have skipped the powered sugar though, opting instead for some maple syrup.

Cosmos (only known as such in Central PA) are heated/melted sandwiches. Like a grinder.

The classic Canadian Bacon Cosmo has:

Canadian Bacon - sliced thin and cooked on a griddle
Provolone - melted on the Canadian Bacon
Good PA sub roll
Mayonaise
Chopped onions
Chopped lettuce
Sliced Tomatoes
Topped with oil/vinegar

They're lucky I wasn't there - I'd have whipped out my Baconator Bazooka that fires 16 oz. sausage projectiles:

A friend of mine was there. When I sent him the story, this is what he texted back to me:

Yes we were there and we were disappointed to say the least. Plenty of beer to try but I get more bacon on a burger from Burger King then I got from the festival. Plus we got there at noon it was from 12-5pm. We had tickets in advance and it took us 50 mins to wait in line to get through gate.

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Some bacon lovers are complaining that an all-you-can-eat event in Frederick fell short of their expectations.

The Frederick News-Post reported Tuesday that the Maryland attorney general’s office has fielded at least three consumer complaints stemming from last weekend’s Beer Bacon Music festival.

Some of the 5,000 people who paid up to $125 for tickets to the event say they were lucky to get a few strips of bacon from the all-you-can-eat bacon bar advertised by promoters.

Promoter Kevin MacFawn says he and the three other organizers had 2 tons of bacon on hand but their cooks couldn’t fry it up quickly enough to meet the demand.

MacFawn says at least 35 people have asked for refunds. He says the organizers haven’t decided how to respond.

Suckers-—— a $125 dollar ‘baconfest’? Or rather bacon fast. Could make a homemade BLT deluxe for about $5 each nicely fixed and be a happy camper plus save the gas $.
