The cat, named Tara, was captured on security camera on May 13 when she pounced on a dog that attacked her 4-year-old human Jeremy Triantafilo.

That is still one of the best “cat bites dog” stories I’ve ever seen!

The follow up is good, because we know what happened to the boy, and how the cat became so protective. Good story, S&A! Thanks.

when she pounced on a dog that attacked her 4-year-old human Jeremy Triantafilo.

Why do they use language like “ her 4-year old human” I think it should say her “owner” or “master”, are we giving animals personage now a days?

"She was his cat, but he owned her not."

...I think it should say her “owner” or “master”,..

That's only for folks who are into dominating their surroundings. You can "own" a cat on paper, but the cat chooses who it will obey. A dog isn't quite as independent, and they still rely on us for food and shelter, as do cats. But to be their "master?" Pish and tosh. Fairyfluff.

“Owner” or “Master” aside, I think the boy will be taught and grew up very thankful for his hero cat buddy.

Because cats are "owned" by no one....
