Couple Fined $746 For The Crime Of Feeding Homeless People In Florida Park

If you think about, the homeless actually serve as the perfect scapegoat for a former American middle class slowly being driven into serfdom. Still completely mesmerized by the religion of consumerism, how is a population losing its freedom and financial well-being supposed to feel better about itself. The easy answer is to look at an even more destitute class and treat them like the “elites” treat everyone else. Like a superfluous and unfortunate outgrowth of humanity.

It’s coming to a point when we do not even know what laws we are violating out there.

Really. I mean, how could they have possibly known that serving food to hundreds of people in a public park might be subject to some sort of regulation?

This applies now to any kind of charity.

Go try to donate your furniture to any of the official chain charities. You cannot give them anything cloth.

When my husband and I married we combined households, necessitating chucking some furniture because we were mature and fully furnished in our own homes. Yup, Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc would not take our cloth sofas, chairs etc., nor our church’s local charity. Soft surfaces easily collect germs and cannot be easily cleaned!

We had to sell them or dump it. Thus adding to the landfill problems these same fascists are so worried about.

So again, the all-caring gov would rather poor people sleep on the floor or in the dirt than risk a cold from a mattress.

There have been women stopped from feeding vagrants from their home
Good.
The vast majority of "vagrants" bums, are mentally ill.
They belong in mental wards, soup kitchens or jail.
They do not belong in my next door neighbor's backyard, public parks or school grounds.

The only reason a homeless person, or anyone for that matter, eats from a dumpster is because they’ve CHOSEN to eat from the dumpster.

I’m all for Freedom so I say Bon Appetit.

How dare you stand up to the hordes of bums bringing down property values, attracting crimes, and trespassing? Don’t you know the bums represent hard working Americans?

But there are so many laws on the books that anyone at any given time is probably in violation of at least half dozen without even knowing it.

Thats also why the majority of obsolete laws are never taken back off the books.

From the article -

The Jimenez's contend that the area's homeless agencies don't want to lose people to outside feedings because that means fewer of them come to the agencies — which means less funding.

Folks, this is the real issue. Government workers are going after the Jimenez's, because these people are a threat of those big time government salaries.

That they freely provide prescient, intelligent, and entertaining content, creating the actual value of the website?

I can understand everyone’s concern. However, it should be their freedom to make that choice to serve people on their property. If not, the scenario I mentioned starts: no parties, no friends for dinner.

As for the public thing, I can see more problem there except I think people should be able to randomly offer others stuff. So if one happens by the area and has some leftovers, have at it. My aunt did this. But you could not count on her being in a certain place every day or week to get anything.

Making it truly a regular thing is indeed more problematic.

You're right, it is. Either that or the Jimenezes are calumniating the wonderful, religiously-motivated volunteers staffing the area's homeless agencies. Could be either one.

Yes!

That is the irony of the whole thing - there is always someone getting some kind of graft for this, even if it is just to provide food.

Sometimes, that is not even the intention of the regulation, but the big org’s - but even lesser ones - soon realize it!

Same as corporatism. Sometimes the big guys realize they can use this fascism to their advantage!

The big guys have been buying regulations to hurt their competitors for a century or more, at least. This even happened a lot in “Atlas Shrugged”

Has anyone here ever worked in a soup kitchen? Does anyone personally know the people who manage them and the organizations that run them?

Anyone besides me, that is.

There’s no excuse for people who are financially able to donate but won’t. They ride on other peoples dime. And their comments won’t pay to keep FR running, they let others do that.
