Why Divorced Men Are Best to Date (and Marry)

He has been broken down! Divorced men understand what it's like to be in a committed relationship within which there are compromises and accommodations. His resistance has already been broken down by another woman so that you don't have to endure the push back yourself.

He uses his words. Divorced men tend to be better communicators. There is a decent chance that he went to therapy during his marriage, if not after, and he has become fairly proficient at communicating needs and feelings more clearly.

He's been broken in! Another thing about divorced men that you might not want to think about but will happily benefit from? They just "get" you. That's because they've been with more women, or at least one woman for an extended period of time, and dealt with more attitudes, moods, issues, and emotions. With experience often comes understanding. In other words, he has already been broken in.

I didn’t get married till I was 39.
All my friends were getting married and I was single. All my friends were having kids and I was single. All my friends were getting divorced and I was single. All my friends were getting remarried...well, you get the point.

I’ve been married now for 18 years with three great kids.
You read all the statistics about how half of all marriages last for ever, well, forever is a long time and I’m glad I waited to lock in.

‘Considering all of that, suppose he is always comparing YOU to all of these other women, and you don’t stack up??? How does that aspect of things make you feel?’

Someone has some major insecurity.

I’m pretty sure all the women on steptalk.org would wholeheartedly DISAGREE. Especially if said divorced guy has kids from a previous shrew.

A divorced man should know how to sidestep the sluts and find a good woman!

I tell my daughters if they are dating a divorced man to ask for two things:

1. To see the paperwork. There are a lot of divorced guys who are not yet divorced.

2. A full, honest explanation of what they did to facilitate the divorce. Even if it was the other’s fault, there was something wrong. If they cannot explain that with detail and honesty—then he is a train wreck waiting to happen again.

My kids were both enlisted by the time I was 40. Today, I have a great relationship with my younger daughter, her husband, and my 3 grandkids.

The first marriage only lasted 11 years, but the family will last long after I am gone.

Well, I went through a emotionally compromising divorce.

I met a woman in a motel lounge one day, about a year later and in a couple weeks we will celebrate our 34th anniversary.

I don’t think there is any rule or gauge you can use to find a good mate. But whatever it was that we did, seemed to work pretty well. She was also divorced and with two kids. I raised them, and one of my own and in a few months I will be a Great Grandfather.

Good luck to you...hope some of mine rubs off..but if marriage is really not something you really want to have, then don’t try. It won’t end well.

Women are a lot more trouble than men. One can understand why the younger generation of men thinks it’s not worth the bother.

After watching the actions of the younger generation of females I think young men are smart not to have any attachments to them.

It is truly pathetic what the left had done over the past 35 years to brainwash females in regards to their way of thinking and their outlook on men.

Unless we find a way to start reversing this problem there will be no hope for this Country as a free nation as without the true definition of family there cannot be a Republic.

Unconditional love is an awesome thing —never expecting or requiring anything.

Of course, the ones I referred to, men and women who try and try — they’re married to self-centered takers who never reciprocate, don’t show appreciation or affection, etc. Marriages wither away and die under those conditions.

But you’re surrounded by a lot of liberals, aren’t you? Where in the Bay Area could you find a conservative woman?

society has turned men only into wallets, they have zero rights, family court is geared to destroy them and also keep/increase tension between them.

women make things far worse because they can’t stop themselves from smartass talking.

guys can too, but as women on average speak at least three times as much as a guy, it’s a much bigger problem for them.
