Why Divorced Men Are Best to Date (and Marry)

He has been broken down! Divorced men understand what it's like to be in a committed relationship within which there are compromises and accommodations. His resistance has already been broken down by another woman so that you don't have to endure the push back yourself.

He uses his words. Divorced men tend to be better communicators. There is a decent chance that he went to therapy during his marriage, if not after, and he has become fairly proficient at communicating needs and feelings more clearly.

He's been broken in! Another thing about divorced men that you might not want to think about but will happily benefit from? They just "get" you. That's because they've been with more women, or at least one woman for an extended period of time, and dealt with more attitudes, moods, issues, and emotions. With experience often comes understanding. In other words, he has already been broken in.

“she understands just how fierce a beating she will get if she disobeys her man.”

LOL

I recently saw a black comedian on cable TV. He said that he firmly believes in ‘spousal-abuse counseling’ for men but that he also thinks that there should be, ‘know-when-to-STFU’ counseling for women! ;-)

Exactly...funny how stupid, unattractive women with excessive body hair become experts in marriage...just like that!

One of my high school classmates is twice divorced and now in a long term relationship with a man that never married. According to her never marrieds are more attractive than divorcees. I ought to send her this article.

I hate how on TV commercials they always depict the man as an idiot that couldn’t function without the wise woman.

Vicious drivel, so disrespectful to men. Who in the world wants a “broken” man?

I think a widower is a better choice.* He loved his wife and probably really likes women. He misses being married.

*Assuming he didn’t kill his wife:)

Marriage really is a partnership with both sides best off respecting the other.

Marriage and family may not be easy, but what is it for? It is for producing, understanding and experiencing real and lasting love. No where else will a human being be deepened by the experience of love in the way they will through having and maintaining a family whose members are dedicated to loving one another. If you want to miss out on deep, lasting and meaningful love, skip having a family. You may find yourself thinking you are happy without realizing love. Without love what are you but only a self centered, empty shadow of who you were meant to be?

Not too mention that he’s probably broke as well as broken in.

The problem is, modern women have been conditioned by Oprah, society, and articles like this to think that they should get exactly what they want, nothing less, and that men are animals to be controlled and whipped, belittled and "broken in". Men are also to blame in other ways, of course, but it appears to me that women expect a lot more from men than vice versa.

Well, these angry hags need to realize this; in the words of a friend of mine from South America to his ex-wife when she said she didn't need him, "Well, perra, I dun't need choo eether."

Guys aren't going to keep falling for a pretty face, eventually enough men will get fed up with this system that expects all give and no get from them and resign. Then all these women who think marriage is unnecessary, but at the same time all about them, will have to see for themselves if they really don't need men.

And if the characters are different races, you know which one will be the smart one.

Eloquently stated. Not something we really needed to know and will be forgotten on my part. Some things people really do not need to know but humans are strange creatures.

In the Garden of Eden there were two trees: The tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9: The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:17: And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Notice God said you are free to eat of ANY tree except one, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So what did man do? He screwed everything up and ate from the one tree he was told not to eat. The real question is not why he disobeyed God, which is a legitimate and important one, but why he did not eat of the tree of life, which was allowed, and which had no consequence of death, but eternal life?

I see part of that human nature in this thread.

Maybe you didn’t mean it that way, but I’m not married but I don’t consider myself “self-centered” or “empty”.

Until “family court” is corrected and made a more equal grounds, I don’t blame young men one iota. They accept pretty much all the risk regardless if they mess up or if she decides she’s had enough and want’s an upgrade (no-fault divorce). I’m coaching my sons now not to even think about marriage in their 20’s and with today’s climate, 30’s might be pushing it. I am trying to teach them to get everything financially settled (home, good bit of retirement, no debt, paid off vehicles, etc..) before entertaining marriage so if she does leave for whatever reason, they are protected and won’t lose it all in family court (my state law is pretty strict about assets before marriage). Sad state of affairs today.

And little boys are being conditioned very young that anything masculine is bad. If they act like a boy, they are drugged.

No sex should be bashed; it’s not ok.

I'm going through a long patch of no sex, and it should be bashed.

Oh wait.

Wellllllllllll

The man only ate of it because the woman told him to...

(Yes, ‘She made me do it!’ is quite literally the oldest excuse in The Book!)
