I remember Mayall as the over-the-top, super heroic Lord Flashheart from "Blackadder".
Wow, other people who watched “The Young Ones”.
Great show - great actor.
May he RIP.
I’ve never heard of it before, but 56 is way too young for anyone to die.

Wow, loved that show. Only 12 episodes? Seemed like there were many more. RIP Rik Mayall. I’ll have Neil boil some lentils in his honor.
One of my favourite shows of all time. One Halloween, four of us went as The Young Ones. My girlfriend was Rick, I was Vyvyan.

Used to watch The Young One’s when in Aberdeen back in the 70’s and early 80’s. It grew on you the more you watched it. Sorry for the loss of him.
Vivian was the punk...the guy with red hair and four stars stuck in his forehead.
Rick is a complete bastard and we all hate him!
RIP You crazy Anarchist.
