According to statistics from Doctors Without Borders and the World Health Organization, Iraq has become home to psychological illnesses that are getting worse due to the escalation of unresolved security and political issues. However, there are other reasons behind the spread of these illnesses in Iraq, including society itself.
Statistics released by Doctors Without Borders in 2006 showed 18.6% of Iraqis afflicted by psychological illnesses.
Despite the growing numbers of psychological illnesses in Iraq, there are only three psychiatric hospitals, Al-Rashad and Ibn Rushd in Baghdad, and Suz Hospital in Sulaimaniyah.

Not at all surprising, given the instability of the government and the repressive brutality sanctioned by their Koran. I have read that many tribalists do not venture far away from the areas they grew up in, meaning it is common to be somewhat a blood relation of your spouse. I don’t know how true this is.

I read an article some years ago that had Arab citizens describing other Arab countries. Most sounded like..”Ahh, those crazy Iraqis.” Like one would speak of a kooky cousin.
First-cousin marriages (generation after generation ...) are the norm in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, and some other parts of the world. This is the case whether the people are Moslem or not. (Egypt and Ethiopia have significant Christian populations.) It’s about keeping control of property in the hands of the clan leaders, and the health results are ghastly.

They abuse their children physically, emotionally, and sexually. This turns them into angry savages. They teach the kids that anger is always the best reaction to everything.
Then they teach them garbage that guarantees they will not be able to earn a living.
Plus their “culture” has absolutely nothing interesting, artistic, cultured, or humorous.
Plus their “value system” is 100% opposed to human nature.
THAT is their mental illness, in a nutshell.
A number of them are treated in US mental health system. As a matter of fact one would be shocked to see all the Iraqis Somalis and other Islamics that are using the system.

An Arab man and wife from another country visited Iraq and formed the opinion that the current system of separating the sexes and leaving large portions of the adult population unable to date or even see a woman (burqa) has resulted in mental illness.
The man left his wife in an aisle of a grocery store while checking two aisles over for a specific item. During that time, lecherous men walked by her hissing threatening comments about raping her, each time they passed by they were closer to her. Just for standing there! Her husband explained that this separation of sexes is so extreme that young men grow up without hope of ever having a wife (because they are too poor) and therefore, sex. Hence all the warping and raping justification and the way that the sight of a female tourist is “too much” for their warped minds.
This content was included in an article about Korean newlyweds who were visiting Iraq on their honeymoon(!!!). The Iraqi taxi driver said the rear tire was stuck in a rut and asked the husband to get out and push. When he got out of the car, the taxi driver sped off and the groom never saw his bride again. Unfortunately, this jackal probably drove her out to a remote village where she was gang raped until dead. This wasn’t known as fact, but was frankly the most likely outcome given that culture and the circumstances, particularly since she was an infidel.
