Terrifying execution images in Iraq; U.S. Embassy in Baghdad relocates some staff

Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby said that a "small number of Defense Department personnel" are augmenting State Department security assets in Baghdad. Kirby said that the relocation of some embassy personnel is being done with commercial, charter and State Department aircraft flights.

U.S. military can airlift people if the State Department asks for that, Kirby said.

While that continues, Iran has recently entered the fray, according to a senior security official in Baghdad who spoke to CNN on Friday. That official said that in recent days, Iran has sent about 500 Iranian Revolutionary Guard troops to fight alongside Iraqi government security forces in Iraq's Diyala province.

However, Iranian officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, denied reports that some of its elite forces are in Iraq to help bolster al-Maliki, a fellow Shiite.

"If the Iraqi government wants us to help, we will consider it," Rouhani said, according to an English translation of his remarks Saturday in Farsi by state-run Press TV.

About the only thing that will ring Obama’s bell is if he got hit by an errant golf ball.

I’m trying to imagine how any other “world leader” could let this situation get to this point this quickly. Especially while he wines and dines in Palm Springs.

He just doesn’t care, and neither do the 40% of this country that rely on him for their unearned benefits.

The Caribbean or possibly Canada looks better and better every day to me. Sadly.

If I were in that embassy I would be screaming bloody murder for an evac.

Benghazi would be fresh in my mind.

Embassy relocates SOME staff. Why not all staff? We gain nothing by maintaining a flimsy presence that does not allow for normal come and go activity. Stop pretending this is normal, close the embassy, unless the goal is to create yet another Martyr Ambassador.

IIRC, the sanctions in Iran were lifted while Obama “talked” to them.

This embassy is huge.

I suspect they are destroying high level intelligence so it does not fall into the hands of ISIS

I’m sure, those Iranians aren’t there to sack the
embassy, they said they are there to help the Iraqis...

I sure am noticing a lot of buzz about Iran being our
ally all of a sudden...maybe this is why Obama can
play golf and fund raise in the middle of chaos.

Zero still has to release the “blind sheik” (hereafter referred to as bs) back into the fold as per the liberal kumbaya playbook.
One theory is that Amb. Stevens was a staged kidnap attempt that went south, it was possibly so they could exchange the bs for Amb. Stevens before the election to appear “diplomatic” and “presidential”.
Probably why five terrorists were traded for bergdahl, as an apology for not releasing the bs.

Yeah, that is really odd.
But the word is that zero cut a secret deal with Iran a few years back.
Stability in Iraq “guaranteed” by Iran if the zero admin backed Iran’s boy for the Iraqi top spot.

We gain nothing by maintaining a flimsy presence that does not allow for normal come and go activity.

It is all about appearances.
In this administration there is no reality, only the narrative.
