Survival Among Humans

People do not want to watch or think about bad things, people want to forget that, and yes, at the end there comes again that famous „it cannot happen to us“ idea.

Do you really think that when (not if) SHTF events would be much different in your part of the world? Do you think that when collapse happens, you and people around you in your town will be somehow able to organize food distribution, security and safety for residents, and all those criminals and sick bastards will somehow disappear, and there is going to be new better society? Are you under the influence of movies and you think that good guys win almost always and that there is justice and sense in everything?

criminals and sick bastards will somehow disappear,

I'm wondering if there will be a bag limit, or a bounty... Because I like hunting.

The best prepper is one who is saved by the blood of Jesus, the Son of God and Messiah of Israel!

The BEST prepper is he who has been save and obeys the law:

But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8

"The best prepper is one who is saved by the blood of Jesus..."

Yes, we know Who we belong to, but until He returns, we are stuck here, among the animals (Romans 1).
God would want us to be prepared - if we become victims we get dead and cannot spread the Gospel.

The old adage, “Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers” is always something to keep in mind and I remind my kids often. Even good people can be caught up in the very real danger of an angry mob.

Mobs can form in seconds and last for minutes to hours or days, months and years. A sporting event or political rally can turn deadly. Black Friday sales have killed many.

Preparing mentally for getting away from a situation quickly is something to give thought to whenever one is in a gathering of strangers. Civilization stops abruptly when the lights fail or shots ring through a crowd. Have a plan in any crowded area for effective retreat or concealment if escape is restricted.

Selco is always thought provoking.

I’m only interested in surviving with a country.

Remember the old adage: The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves

It doesn't hurt to give HIM a little assistance either.

Sell your coat, and buy a sword.

And plenty of ammo for it.

And maybe a small machine shop for maintenance and repair. Never know when you might need a new hilt.

I know the saying, but unfortunately, it’s just not found in the Bible. I would put that one down to human wisdom, and not try to make it something that God actually conveys to us.

I personally have all sorts of “good sayings” that I think are really good, but I would never try to make them to be the mind of God.

Do you work now? Do you have insurance now? Do you plan for tomorrow?

If you do any of those things then you must not trust in God.

Proverbs 3

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

It’s all in the PRIORITIES. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Son, Jesus the Messiah of Israel is to be first priority ... and all else will fall into place by His good grace.

Luke 12

22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

29 And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.

30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

The book of Job, chapter 1

1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.

2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him.

3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

4 And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;

14 and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,

15 when the Sabeans raided them and took them away—indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

19 and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.

21 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
