A would-be grocery store robber in Arizona has learned the hard way not to mess with an Army Special Forces veteran.
The violent encounter was captured on surveillance video at Maen Mdanat's convenience store in Tucson in late April.
A camera trained on the entrance to Axis Food Mart captured the business owner toppling his much younger opponent to the ground with a couple of swift kicks and punches after the suspect attacked him inside the store.

I noticed it came from the UK. I wonder if PC keeps US news outlets from showing it?
Don’t mess with a vet ... they have been through to much to take crap.
Why let him up? Should have stomped him to a pulp
I love stories with happy endings.
Quite the face plant
Thanks for the reminder. I need another Glock.
I doubt it. Unarmed assault is one thing, but if you try to commit an armed crime in Arizona, it is open season on you. Literally you can get killed by anyone. Maybe a clerk, maybe a customer, an off duty cop, some grandmother.
If the owner is an SF veteran, he probably owns an arsenal and is a very keen shot. Probably not a good idea to try and rob him for at least the next month.
hope his good friends s&w are close by.
I'm thinking along the lines of LA gangs...Crips,Bloods,Latin Kings,MS 13.I'd be surprised if all these gangs haven't made it to Arizona. If my hunch is correct I'd bet that they wouldn't be afraid of a single guy...Special Forces or not.
Sadly, that's not unusual. The UK papers will report what the American papers will not.
British press is appreciated.
Right you are. The British press sees a story, and reports it. The American press will first run the story through many PC filters. What comes out is either a distorted story, or no story at all.
The American press censors itself. So it is really not a free press at all. And since a free press is one of the cornerstones of a free nation, this is a disaster.
Special Forces guy probably has a CCW for that situation.
Yes, but what surprises me, is that I thought the UK was even more PC than the US.
And I bet his friends were laughing their arses off!!!
Now he’ll be the butt of some many jokes.
UK mail is the only way we can get US news. The propaganda arm of the DEM party that is the US mainstream media won’t report it.
If not for the internet, we would know nothing.
The Fed government REALLY screwed up giving us the internet. They could have had a nation of dumbed down sheeple by now.
Gangs in Arizona try very hard to keep a low profile for several reasons. Joe Arpaio in Phoenix has long had a “gang buster” attitude, and the southern Arizona gangs try very hard to be invisible, because the region is a major route for drugs and illegals.
That is, if some gang gets in the way of a Mexican cartel or the Mexican Mafia, they are dead. The MM is so powerful, for example, that it ordered the Los Angeles Crips and Bloods to have a ceasefire in their gang war for 20 years or more. Solely because it was bad for business.
When there is gang on gang violence in Tucson, it is more like an assassination than a drive by. It is done discreetly as well, and no ‘civilians’ are involved.
Well, that’s pretty much my assessment as to why I don’t think the fool who was kicked out of the store won’t be back, unless he is on his own.
Yes, I am sure Al Gore is having nightmares after he invented the Internet. Now, many people are getting educated, as you say. Gore really screwed the pooch didn't he?
