Thad won by roughly 7,000 votes tonight. Hinds county is roughly 75% Dem. A robo call went out stating “say no to the tea party. They hate the first black president... say no to the tea party by voting for Thad”

The call was placed mainly to african americans in MS

Here are the number from the main targeted county.. Hinds:

On June 3rd

T. Cochran (i)
65.7%
10,928

C. McDaniel
33.8%
5,621

TONIGHT:

T. Cochran (i)
72.0%
17,927

C. McDaniel
28.0%
6,962

Total vote count with 99.8% reporting:

189,355 thad
182,756 McDaniel

Stolen election.

I am independent all the way. Republican party and the Dems are one and the same.

Nowhere is it more evident than the open borders we have. Costs the average Joe Worker his job. Weakens our country. Creates more welfare dependance. Yet the elites of both parties do nothing to stop it and, in fact, encourage it.

That’s THE issue conservatives should run on.

ANY American knows it’s bad for us to go 3rd world.

Where would you move to anyway that supports freedom? Antarctica?

1. Uruguay

2. Chile

3. Singapore

Lots of Asia and emerging Africa. And, parts of the Middle East!

Czech Republic ... Sweden ...

Dang, when the Castros die, I'd love to take a chance with the baseball, old cars, and women in Cuba!

You're one of my favorite FReepers, EEE. The mistake a lot of us make is thinking that the Constitution still matters. It doesn't. We can argue about who killed it, but that's irrelevant.

There's a lot of socialist countries (some dictatorships) that we SHOULD hate. But, in practice, their governments have no power. It's all a kleptocracy. Pay cash to avoid taxes. Pay a bribe here and there... nobody bothers you. Even in communist China, there are wide swaths where there is effectively ZERO government presence.

In the USSA, the gov is ubiquituous.

doesn’t Chile have a socialist President right now, in the vein of Chavez and Kirchner?

Sadly you’re right.

Obama was a symptom of the decline and an accelerator. The problem is even with him gone, there are still the idiots that voted for him. The takers are procreating and being brought in by the bus and plane load. The wealth creators are getting harassed and shrinking every year.

The re-election of Obama showed we passed the tipping point. Romney’s 47% was dead on - which is why he had to be attacked so violently for speaking the truth.

Add in another million ‘refugees’ and continued death of old white folks / declining white birth rates and the U.S. will be a 3rd world country in no time.

It’s not just the slow decline. The total open southern borders will have every major city in America looking like Detroit. Future generations will look back in amazement at the mysterious civilization that once flourished.

What happened in Mississippi was not just disappointing, but disturbing...however, write this and act like the victor over Cantor didn’t happen, nor the nomination of Ben Sasse, and numerous other victories.

I know you are upset about what happened in MS but this is pretty absurd. Take time to cool off and live to fight another day. There are other races to work on out there besides this one.

Are there no other races on the ballot? You can just leave a race blank on the ballot if you don’t want to vote in it.

And should the year end with the only losses the establishment suffered having been Eric Cantor and Ralph Hall, I assume you’ll be saying “but we’ll get ‘em in 2016!”

Yes. That's my point. But, go into a shop, they'll say "en effectivo?" (cash) and you pay cash and there's no taxes paid.

Wanna' park in downtown Santiago (or any other city in the Free World)? There will be a guy to find you a spot, feed your meter, wash it for a pittance. Even under the "socialist" government. If anybody tried that in any city in the USSA, they'd be beaten up by union goons and imprisoned by cops.

We've forgotten what freedom is.

I have a write-in option here in PA.

I can type in another name that isn’t a D or R. It will take money and organization to get a third party going but until then I will just write in names in most races.

I am still registered Republican, but that means little to me unless someone is running in the primary I can vote for.

I gave up calling myself a Republican a while back

Me too. I think it was about 10 years ago, I got a call from the RNC, asking for money. That was my chance. I went ballistic on that dip stick, and told him I would never give another penny to them, until they started acting like conservatives. They haven't done it yet, and I still haven't given them one red cent.

If a third party had been started 10 years ago when a lot of us were pushing it, the republican party would be nothing but a memory today.

I’ve been thinking of going to another country that has socialized medicine and have already worked out all the kinks.

"Start at the local level"

Agreed, but for voters in some states, that includes switching from unaffiliated to Republican affiliation in order to vote in a primary then switching back to being unaffiliated afterwards.

Has to be done. I just read some comments from Democrats on a site who voted for Cochran, whooping it up that they defeated the Tea Party.

This cannot go on. The GOP is scum.
