Skip to comments.Case closed: KFC confirms employee did NOT kick out 3-year-old pit bull attack victim ...

Hours after a Mississippi family reassured the public Tuesday that their story of a little 3-year-old disfigured girl getting kicked out of a Jackson KFC was true, the fast food giant confirmed that two different investigations proved it was a hoax....
But KFC, who pledged $30,000 to the girls family for her care, easily debunked the tall tale, finding, for example, that Mullins and little Victoria never set foot in a Jackson KFC on May 15, much less were kicked out.
One investigation was carried out by KFC, while a third party did a more thorough review.
Neither revealed any evidence that the incident occurred and we consider the investigation closed, KFC said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
The family had earlier posted on a Facebook page dedicated to tracking the girls recovery that the story was not a hoax.
It is not over until KFC releases a statement, the family wrote.
But after KFC closed the case, the family dismantled the Facebook page and could not be reached for comment.
And the gofundme.com campaign page for the girl was suspended and refunds offered to those who had donated, CNN reported.
"In lieu of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the 'Victoria's Victories' online fundraising effort, GoFundMe has temporarily suspended the campaign until the full truth is made clear," ....
KFC says it will donate $30,000 to little Victoria, despite the fact the investigation found the ejection claim to be a hoax.
The Laurel Leader-Call broke the story of the hoax Monday night after unnamed sources gave some of the damning details the KFC third party investigation had found.
What is not in dispute is what happened to little Victoria: She was mauled in April by three of her grandfathers pit bulls during a visit to his home....

The rednecks had pit bulls around a child. I question anyone that stupid.
Do not fall for the sob stories that these grifters post online, hoping to get cash. Usually, these crooks use children to get their ill-gotten gains. Help those you know need help in your family and in your church. If everyone did that, these hoaxes would decrease.
Was the grandmother who did this hoax the pit bulls owner’s wife?
Pit bulls... again.
The family using this little girls misfortune are the definition of PWT.
Grandpa Col.Fried Chicken is like the southern Santa Clause to the lying pit bull redneck con artists. Hope KFC structured the donation so only the girl benefits from it.
This is a bizarre story. It seemed credible because there were newspaper articles where reporters claimed they had even contacted the manager, they had names, etc. But it turned out that the particular KFC branch had closed some time ago, that the little girl was actually in the hospital when the incident supposedly happened, etc.
Definitely grifters, and you feel bad that the little girl, on top of everything else, has a family like this. I think it’s good of KFC to provide the $30,000, but I hope somebody files charges against granny or otherwise she’ll probably spend the rest of her life living on the fraudulent exploitation of her grand-daughter’s injuries. What a creep.
I was suspicious from the get-go. Who eats at KFC anymore?
Can’t someone be charged with theft by deception?
I have the white trash granny in mind. She doesn’t look like a stranger to the clink.
Not since one time in the mid 90s, maybe.
I believe you are right.
If you wanted to help the girl because she got mauled, thats fine. But don’t help her just because she supposedly got her feelings hurt.
People were not donating because they wanted to help her. They were donating to protest the “bullying” by KFC.
There’s a sucker born every minute.
It makes you wonder if the author of the original story was in on the scam —
Did the crack journalist even bother to ask the granny grifter to show her the receipt for the tea and potatoes???
Where was this journalist when this original interview took place???
That would explain a lot, wouldn’t it? Guilty conscience. Invent a story to illicit donations to avoid doing the right thing and paying for the child’s medical bills themselves.
That breed should be outlawed. I don’t care how many advocates they have.
Everyone who fell for this story should go to KFC and buy a bucket of chicken for their penance.
Yum. Extra crispy. Mashed potatoes and gravy for the sides. Carb heaven.
KFC has been more than decent about this, but I hope yhey have some way to make sure he money goes to the little girl and no to her crooked kinfolks, who should be in jail.
I would hope they would get a visit from child welfare.
It would not surprise me if they deliberately put that toddler in there with those dogs so they could use her injuries for a fundraiser — but the injuries turned out to be worse than they expected.
I have not heard from or seen a mother or father — are they in the picture anywhere???
I believe so.
Yep — she is the exwife of the pitbull owner
What a lowlife disgusting family. The parents need to do jail time to set the proper example for this poor girl.
Reminds me of that Turd Mark Kelly dragging around his wife the former U.S. House Rep. For his own 15 minutes of fame.
You sure these were rednecks? These days, Jackson, MS and pitbulls points more to holders people.
I just read another article about it, which said $135,000 in donations had come in from people who fell for the story. That is more than “chicken feed”.
Agreed. KFC has every right to sue these people out of existence. Classy of them to still stand by their donation.
They will anyway!
Typical white trash!
They should start by suing WAPT and Angela Williams in Mississippi for not checking out the basic facts of the story:
I’ve seen an interview of the woman. I am profiling here but I doubt they are holder people. Unless they’re union or on the government welfare dime.
You must not live in the South...pits are an absolute requirement for either white or black trash. No home is complete without one. Or three.
They are the kind of people who in an argument about pitbulls would claim that its not the dog — it’s the owner.
This sounds like that Honey Boo Boo family. Can’t stand that show.
Or 10 — as in this case.
They are the kind of people who in an argument about pitbulls would claim that its not the dog its the owner.
Yep. The your girlalmost gets killed and has her face shredded because of these dentally-challenged rednecks.
If you own pit bulls you are stupid by definition.
Lyndon Johnson sure delivered a Great Society to us.Or should I say inflicted upon us.
Yah, well, you notice they didn’t deny the “Kentucky Fried” rat in the
box of chicken story from forty some odd years ago.....
An absolute requirement for white trash here in corrupt soviet Red Hampshire, as well.
Wow. What astoundingly pathetic journalism.
Almost 5 weeks to report it was a hoax...
What difference does it make? The damage is done, the hype is out. It even got the hackles of the pit bull haters at FR going (as recently as just this morning).
This is a test, a test of the US national media system.
You have failed; you don’t measure up.
Pit Bulls or White Trash?
These hoaxers need to be brought to justice.
Me, sometimes, when my cardiologist ain't looking.
I hope they can place the money in a trust for her, or something.
I just can’t get over the shamelessness. No doubt the grandmother is sorry she was caught, but ashamed of her actions? I would bet the answer is no.
“KFC says it will donate $30,000 to little Victoria, despite the fact the investigation found the ejection claim to be a hoax.”
I think this just enables and encourages fraudsters.
YES! LOL I realized I could have been more clear about three seconds after I posted that. The answer is both.
I am a grandmother. How that woman could behave like that I do not understand. I would get rid of any pet I thought would hurt a child, before that child was born.
The whole family of grifters was in on it — the mom and dad who knew granny was lying can be seen in the original story here on WAPT:
and they featured pitbulls in the segment — but of course little Victoria was more afraid of a KFC chickenwing than those pitbulls the newswoman showed chained up.
That was an interesting clip, and not in a good way. The lies just flowed from that woman’s tongue with ease.
I wonder how they explained it all to the little girl? “Honey, we’re going to make up a story about us getting kicked out of the KFC so they’ll give us some money. So you smile at the camera, now.”
This is more good news. The Left’s vilification of American businesses is failing.
We live in the Age of Distrust.
The clip is interesting —
Does anyone really think that this little girls mom [and dad] would let her out of their sight for a minute after this dog-mauling much less after she got out of the hospital after a monthlong stay in critical care.
And yet this bimbette reporterette wanted us to believe that they let mindless granny pick her up at the hospital and take her to KFC without one or both of them coming along???
Granny was set up here to do this by this grifter family. The whole lot of them should be charged and the reporterette should be fired.
The media didn’t investigate, but went with it as though it was confirmed fact. IMO that’s more evidence of how touchy-feely society has become. If it’s an “awwww” story, we have to rush to wallow in it.
Is there any word on prosecution for this? I’ve heard nothing so far.
