News is leaking out from Hollywood executives in-the-know that the Obama White House had been leaning on, pressuring executives at NBC for the last two years to replace Jay Leno because the comedian was criticizing President Obama every night. Obama didn't like it and considered it a racist attack on him.
THESE ONE-LINERS MIGHT BE THE REASON NBC GOT RID OF THE FUNNIEST MAN ON LATE NIGHT - JAY LENO. Of course NBC was on board when Jay Leno went after Republican George W. Bush every night for 8 years but they couldn't stomach the fact that Leno's jokes about Obama were always right on target about the first black president, and left-leaning Democrat executives at NBC were being harassed by Obama himself who thought the comedy was a racist attack on him.
GOLDEN OLDIES FROM JAY:
"I was going to start off tonight with an Obama joke, but I don't want to get audited by the IRS."
On NSA surveillance: "We wanted a president who listens to all Americans - now we have one."
On a new IRS commissioner: "He's called 'acting commissioner' because he has to act like the scandal doesn't involve the White House."
On closing the Guantanamo prison for terrorists: "If he really wants to close it, turn it into a government-funded solar power company. The doors will be shut in a month."
Concerning the Benghazi, Associated Press, and IRS scandals: "Remember in the old days when President Obama's biggest embarrassment was Joe Biden?"
On Obama saying he didn't know about the IRS scandal: "He was too busy not knowing anything about Benghazi to not know anything about the IRS."
"The White House has a new slogan about Benghazi: Hope and change the subject."
"It's casual Friday, which means that at the White House, they're casually going through everybody's phone calls and records."
"It is not looking good for President Obama. Today his teleprompter took the fifth."
"Fox News has changed its slogan from 'Fair and Balanced' to 'See, I told you so!'"
On Obama's commencement address: "He told the young graduates their future is bright unless, of course, they want jobs."
On a Chicago man who set a record for riding a Ferris wheel: "The only other way to go around and around in a circle that many times is to read the official report on Benghazi."
On White House claims of ignorance on the scandals: "They took 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' out of the Pentagon and moved it into the White House."
Now the last and I think best: "These White House scandals are not going away anytime soon. It's gotten so bad that People in Kenya are now saying he's 100 percent American."
I guess the White House Dummy was insulted by the truth...........
I would believe that pressures from the White House caused Leno to be terminated.
I would not put anything past this president or his henchmen. They are beholden to their liberal theology and Alinskyite tactics, to do whatever they want to get their way.

Leno made more jokes on Bill Clinton than either Bush, if I recall the analysis properly.
Also, Fallon is doing a good job lampooning Obama, at least occasionally.
I saw him in an interview recently where he said flat out that he was fired. He also said he knew it would happen eventually and he seemed not to care.
Basically he had enough money to do whatever he wanted the rest of his life and did not need to work.
Leno was beating that old child molester,Letterman,like a rented mule in the ratings.Pressure from His Royal Highness is,IMO,distinctly possible.

Nice position to be in, to have enough money to fund a nice retirement. It’s likely he didn’t care if he offended Obama or the suits at NBC.
I don’t watch these comedians very often, but, have gotten the impression that they treated Obama very differently than other presidents. It was open season on joking about Bush, but Obama was not joked about in the same manner.
He seems to be much happier playing with his car collection, and who could blame him?
Those were good one liners, knocking it outta the park over and over. “He was too busy NOT KNOWING about Bengazi, NOT TO KNOW anything about the IRS scandal!” If I had known Leno was being this up front and evenhanded, as comics used to be, I might have actually turned the show on to look at it.
If all the people who had been threatened, or lost their jobs, or threatened with worse, would come out and SAY IT - this would be amazing. When they lie low, they are still under his control.
Seriously, when you think about it, the line that was drawn for Obama by his media sycophants has helped bring him down!!
When other presidents (koff bush koff koff koff) got shredded each day by the media and ripped a new one by the late night comedians, they developed a thick skin. What choice did they have? They learned day by day to handle it and it became like water off a duck’s back and didn’t even hurt any more at some point. It made them tougher.
But the line was drawn around the Pooooooor Helplesssss Black President that no one should criticise him at all, all gaffes to be covered up, any jokes made about him would be made to make him look good. He relaxed into this soft treatment and grew softer, and grew to expect and need to be propped up and puffed each day in the media. When a few well placed witticisms were made to show some of the truths in his administration, he simply couldn’t stomach it! It hurt him tooooo badly.
So the coddling has actually hurt him! Made him weak and now visibly less of a leader and more of a self absorbed foolish tyrant. Firing an entertainer who probably voted for him twice!
Ha ha ha ha ha, the last laugh is indeed on you, mister president. Jay will be fine but you look like a wilted lily.
He’s gone because he announced his retirement... TWICE. And Fallon’s ratings are up. I like Jay, but his time was up. It was up the first time but he couldn’t figure that out.

No matter what the press says, they know this is so. We are constantly hearing on how abusive this WH is if they don’t like what you are saying. Every so often it leaks, even from lib outlets, that they have never seen such a restrictive WH.
Rush mentioned just the other day that no one tells jokes against the left wing on late night. Now we know why.
