The article is entitled, "The Corporate Daddy," and it presents Walmart as harmful to the economy by keeping the wage gap growing as well as being a burden to taxpayers.
So with red ink pen in hand, Tovar and the Walmart team corrected the inaccuracies with hilarious results. See below:

The leftist mindset is just so creepy and offensive. I love when they complain about burdens to the taxpayers.
Like we'd see tax cuts if Wal-Mart paid higher wages.
And then, of course, there's this most recent idiotic meme about "income inequality."
Personally, I'd have significantly more income if our politicians -- you know, the poor babies who suffer in such poverty -- would charge me less in taxes.
The complaints about Walmart including “wage inequality” and “Walmart is destroying small business” are largely a result of the fact that most of the employees are not unionized. Dems still have most of the employees but there are no union crooks taking wages to support Dem election efforts through union dues.
The NY Slimes will be out of business within the next decade as its business model (supporting liberal Dem causes and not covering all the news) is unsustainable.
From a regular and grateful Wal*Mart shopper, this is hilarious.

I hate Walmart but this is awesome.
I’ve been as prone as anyone else to knock Walmart for massive offshore sourcing, but they are coming around. They’ve committed to US manufacturing in certain areas where they are able, and it’s not just talk. Try finding open capacity in a sock mill in NC. If you can, there’s something seriously wrong at that mill.
And the stated goal of returning massive returns to their shareholders?
And the massive increase in wealth of their owners?
I get that $12 an hour ain't great in NYC. I also get that in most of middle America (”flyover country” to the rich yankees) it is enough to keep a family together, if both parents work.
How about a discussion on the greatest increase in expenditures for the average family, taxes at multiple levels?
I love it! We don’t have a lot of choice, other than Walmart where we live. Most of the businesses in the mall have left and are being replaced by nail salons and such. I buy an occasional item from Publix, but they are too expensive for everyday shopping. I use SAMs as much as I can, but I cannot afford to purchase large amounts of everything, so I shop Walmart for those items that I still need. We have a local Winn Dixie, but many of the items are too high for a strict budget. Target is higher than Walmart on most items, and our Target has only a small grocery part. I am growing my tomatoes, and I have cucumber plants, squash and sweet potato plants in the back yard...hoping they grow well. When you are on a fixed income, you shop where you can afford. It’s not because I’m such a great fan, but we lived in AR when the Walmart stores started out. They were a huge improvement over K-Mart (which I’d worked at as a teen) and their policies were always customer-geared. Great stores back then. Yes, they have changed over time, sort of like JCPenneys. My uncle worked for Mr. JC Penney, in NYC as one of his executives. Mr. Penny would be rolling over in his grave to know what the company has become. Same with Sam Walton. Later generations of executives make changes that they think are suited for the times, but they deny the company’s founding principles. Sad, really! There is one way to make a change, though, and that is to write in and complain about the changes and to remind them of the things that Walmart once stood for and that you liked.

I shopped at WALTON’S back in the late 1950s and early 1960s when it was just a Mom and POP store on the west side of the square in Bentonville.
Sam had a chance to buy some bankrupt BEN FRANKLIN stores, took the chance and started WALMART.
He broke the economic stranglehold of the CHICKEN MEN in this area. You worked for them at their starvation wages r you didn’t work.
The CHICKEN MEN started importing legal Mexicans into this area when their workers deserted to Walmart.
Now the children of those Mexicans work for Walmart and the Chicken Men are importing Africans to do the work. They have also been forced to raise their wages to compete with Walmart.
WALMART has been good for this area.
I have NEVER worked for WALMART or SAM’S.
How did WALMART destroy the MOM and POP stores? It was explained to me back around 1962 by a teacher before there was a WALMART.
He said that every town had two dime stores, two shoe stores, two hardware stores, ect. The purpose was to show there was competition for business in town.
HOWEVER, these same stores had under-the-table handshake deals not to cut each other’s prices and keep prices HIGH. The local CITY FATHERS also got their cut by keeping real competition out.
So, Walmart would buy just outside of town, build their store and their lower prices would kill the high dollar stores in town.
Poor people found that they could purchase more goods on their meager pay check at WALMART than at Joe and Mable’s high dollar dime store.
As for Chinese goods, many other stores have them.

So don’t blame WALMART for Chinese goods. When Congress made China a MOST FAVORITE NATION to trade with, WALMART was still just small stores.
