Muscle cars are all about the numbers, and Dodge has just issued a triple-digit warning to the rest of the ponycar herd. Packing 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, the supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 Hellcat engine is the very stuff Saturday night legends are made of. But dont take our word for itwatch Dodge brand boss Tim Kuniskis set the record straight in the exclusive video below.
Installed in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, this wild engine has the loftiest power figure of any V-8 engine in Chrysler history. To put it numerically, the Hellcat brings 45 more horsepower than the last Shelby Mustang GT500, 127 more horsepower than the last Camaro ZL1 we tested, andin what may be viewed as an act of sacrilege by some67 more hp than the V-10 in the current Viper.

One word of caution to prospective purchasers - just because you can afford it doesn't mean you can drive it. I once saw a guy with a 650-hp car and a short-throw clutch try to pull into a parking garage space with a wall in front of him. I shall draw a curtain there for the faint of heart...
: )
I took my mother to see that movie. Not a good move. But what a great car. That’s my dream car, too.
Wins the ‘mine is bigger than yours’ competition a lot, I’d bet.
Mama needs a new car
He might want to fiddle with the front suspension a bit.
An OK movie plotwise but the car was the star to me.
The Kowalski is one of the dream cars I’d love to have or just get a chance to drive flat out somewhere for an afternoon would suffice.
I’ve rented a couple of Challengers from Enterprise. The first one was white and had a back spoiler and paddle shift, the second black with no frills. Driving that white Challenger was like falling in love for the first time. What a car.
Might have a problem with speed bumps, like flattening them out.
I can believe it. I bet it was something.
