Yes, unicorn horns for cats are an actual thing you can buy. [Title shortened.]

So just what do you get for the cat who has everything? Well, how about one of these – an actual inflatable unicorn horn designed specifically for the feline in your life.

The item – yours for a mere £6.40 on Amazon – will not only look very fetching on your kitty but may also help you realise your dream of turning your pet into a mythical, magical creature.

Alternatively, it may just make them look like a cat with a large inflatable object strapped to their head. But nonetheless we are assured from the box that ‘cats love it’ (yup, the one in the above picture looks like he’s having a whale of a time).

Of course if you don’t want to splash out for the actual inflatable horn – especially given the obvious possibility for your cat to get a little over-enthusiastic and burst it – you could always try turning your cat into a unicorn via more unconventional methods.

For starters, we have this gorgeous ginger kitty modelling this ambitious effort:

Some of those kittehs look about ready for a “My Cat From Hell” type of eruption.

I, for one, would be completely in favor of that.

Sorry!

Our cats like ice cream a lot, too. Bryan has a bowl of ice cream every Sunday evening, and
the cats like to get the leftovers. Of course, he leaves enough for each of them to enjoy.

I’m moving in the fall and will get a new cat then. I’m kind of scared though, if I adopt a cat from my shelter that’s been there forever, will it have problems? There are a few black cats there who have been there over a year and can’t find homes because they are black. Or do I get a young cat or kitten?

I’ve always had the universe present me with a cat when it was time,so I guess I will trust in that,

Or perhaps this time I will get a unicorn. Will it fit in a studio apt?

I love ice cream.

Both my Kittties loved whipped cream. They would wake up from coma naps when they heard the whoosh of the can. They didn’t care for ice cream or milk.

They did like to lick the condensation on the ice cream box too.

Oh, good grief-—I cannot believe that people in the 21st century still have a problem with black cats. What is wrong with them??

A lot of folks think they’re among the friendliest of cats. I tend to agree. The black felines I’ve known have been super sweet and affectionate. So it’s the hoominz’ loss.

Personally I wouldn’t think there would be problems with an adult cat from the shelter. If you decide to go with one of them, just talk to the folks who work there and they’ll steer you right. More people adopt kittens because they want a baby to raise and influence their way, to watch it grow, etc.

There are pluses to both, IMO. I’m not much help, am I?

If you prefer a unicorn, you should have no problem...they are magical, and can be folded down and shrunken to fit any apartment or house.

Yeah, they look thrilled, LOL.

I introduced AndyMan to some new neighbors at a July 4 gathering. Andy was sporting his new red color in honor of the occasion — looked stunning on his white ruff. Ignoring admiring looks, he sprinted for home, very much less than thrilled. What a guy.

I have to make my own because I don’t eat sugar.

I make it with erythritol and sucralose added to the cream instead. It comes
out pretty good, and I usually put fruit in it as well, strawberries or blueberries.

The best cat we ever adopted was an adult, my Rocket. He was supposedly “1-1/2 years,” but the woman who fostered him had him longer than
that (according to our vet). He was a wonderful little guy, my favorite cat of all our rescues, and I miss him every single day, and I always will.
I actually do not understand how the foster home owner could have given him up. He was just perfect, loving, gentle, and a little trickster.

He is the only cat about which I can say that he never intentionally bit or scratched anyone in the 15 years that we had him before he passed.

What a sweetie he was. I really think adult cats are grateful for being adopted into good homes. Those little minds are even smarter than we know, IMO. Rocket was her loss, your gain.

I can’t imagine giving up a cat, or any pet, for that matter. I don’t even want my mind to go there.

I agree. Once we take them in, they are with us forever. Even the skittish ones mellow
out after some loving kindness and good food. The former Miss Hissy Slashy is a great
example of that. She evolved into Bobbie for a while, but now she is Miss Purry PetMe.

She no longer hisses or slashes.
