Zingermans. Its one of the pilgrimage sites where “He” (Obama) walked and there is nothing altruistic about his desire for a $15 minimum wage. The owner knows it will put a lot of his competition out of business.

“I can’t survive on $8.25,” Bracey said.

At your age, lady, perhaps you should have learned a skill.

She could go to India, learn programming and get an H1B Visa to work for Microsoft or Google...

So you raise minimum wage 100% and Social Security 2%. Seems like there’s likely going to be a problem brewing.

Seems the parasite class is going to have a rude awakening during the tribulation time.

“I can’t survive on $8.25,” Bracey said. “My community cannot thrive on $8.25! We are barely alive on $8.25.

$8.25 is better than $0 which is what many of Bracey's constituents will earn when this goes through.

Those who do not remember their history are condemned to repeat it.

The minimum wage is never enough! If it was, it would still be at 25 cents an hour as in 1938.

“I can’t survive on $8.25,” Bracey said.

No you are kidding... Of course not you idiot. It is a beginning wage, a part time wage, a starter wage for people with no education or work experience. You want to make more get more education, learn a trade, develop a skill.
When I came back to America getting out of the Air Force as a certified Law Enforcement Specialist I was able to get a job at a County Prison for $2.65 an hour. I worked 60 hour a week for over a year to make it. Proved myself and moved up in the ranks and made higher wages. That lead to a better job and even higher wages. Sorta how life works.......

Why not $50 or $75 or $100 per hour? Why not a $100,000 a year guaranteed salary? Well, Why not? Not enough, eh?

“My community cannot thrive on $8.25!

What is that supposed to mean?

Never you mind what it means, it rhymes, that makes it important......and true!

Ala, "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit".

I started out at min wage at 16.. and never again..

I don't even know if we had a "minimum wage" when I was 16 (1961) but I made 50¢ an hour, working on a farm. Then I enlisted at 18 and made even less.
