A few brave urologists, 3 decades ago, in private were discussing this.

Somehow this information got buried like the increase in breast cancer in women with abortions.

And women who get their tubes “tied” (closed) are at risk for many hormonal issues, pain, and menstruation trouble which lasts for decades.

Just don’t.

This was reported years ago and further studies failed to prove the link between vasectomy and prostate cancer. This study will likely suffer the same fate.

I had this suspicion in the back of my mind recently. I was diagnosed with gleason grade 7 adenocarcinoma in my prostate March this year. After my third child was born my ex wife decided she didn’t want to have any more children and I had a vasectomy at age 26. She left me later and went on to have another family but that is another story. I’m in my early sixties now and the relationship between the vasectomy and my cancer has made me curious about any causation. The story ends well as I had a incredible surgeon who removed the nasty critter and I have been blessed with complete removal of cancer and remarkable recovery with NO COMPLICATIONS.

And there is also a linkage to multiple partners and prostate cancer.

I saw many give in to the snipper routine and doubted the wisdom of it. I figure all my parts have a purpose so I’ve kept them, pains and all and intend do to that until I don’t need them anymore.

Same thing goes for tube tying. Cats and dogs get fat as hogs after such. Maybe there is a message in that?

I’m amazed at the number of medications so many take. There is a pill for everything.

It’s the old rule for all body parts: use it or lose it.

Back prior to my vasectomy I asked the doctor a lot of questions; one of which was any link to prostate cancer. He assured me that there was no increase in the chance.

I had the procedure (which I could share but don’t want all the men to cringe) and haven’t produced a child since (five was enough).

Still have all plumbing intact (we used all copper), as well as my own internal systems. No worries then.
