The heroes and zeroes of the presidential elections I've voted in.
Heroes: Reagan, Bush Sr, Dole, Bush Jr, McCain, Romney
Zeroes: Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Obama
The pattern is obvious! Hoping and praying that it goes republican in 2016. I've not just voted for but campaigned for every hero on the entire list!

In case you haven't been keeping up with current events, burger, that brand is exactly akin to the brand of Coke to the Democrats' Pepsi; it is a very apt comparison. Like both soft drinks, Democrats and Republicans offer the same item in different "brands" -- addictive junk food of negative value to the whole unit.
I want a healthy choice. Water, maybe -- but unsweetened tea would be better; because we need some government, the same would be better in choice of political party that aimed for LESS GOVERNMENT, simpler government, much smaller government, like tea to some damned cola soft drink. A real alternative to big-government-embracing Republicans and Democrats.
THAT is the "brand" that is conspicuously absent.
Americans aren't stupid. They know a charade when they see one, and choosing between Coke or Pepsi as to who governs America is one of them.
The Republican "brand" is a joke, and I say that as someone who has been a Republican and voted straight party ticket since the late 1970s, until 2012, when "Republican" meant voting for someone who if he won would advance more of all the same amoral statist nanny government crap as the Democrat.
